What’s your opinion on whitefish’s summer gig?? AKA the bike park?

anybody worked there before? How was it??

Only people ive ever seen working bike parks are old guys that dont know about bikes lol
 
Love Whitefish, but housing is really, really difficult at the moment. Thankfully lots of stuff of 2 is nat. forest land so you can camp a bunch. I can ask a few buddies about working the park, how much bike park experience do you have? Trail building? Bike skill level?

Ooh so if I’m in my truck camper am I set on National FS land?

I’m a pretty intermediate biker, but the application said intermediate to expert sooooo haha here I am

I started down hilling last summer?

Yeah, onX is really helpful up there, you can actually see where you can and can't get into.

Yeah, that makes sense, Whitefish has some really fun biking, Kashmir is probably my favorite. You should be okay-- but if I remember correctly you're supposed to know Whitefish and Flathead Valley and know the bike industry pretty well. That said you did ski patrol if I remember correctly so you should be fine.

also I promise I'm not trying to be a bitch-- I love Whitefish and if it wasn't for a ongoing situation I'd move up there.

Lots of FS land but there is a influx of van trustifarians trying to become outdoor social influencers. Plus a shit ton of low life’s who wouldn’t hesitate to jack your shit if you forget to lock it up. Get good full coverage insurance so if your shit is stolen.

Not as bad where I use to live in Colorado. A little shit hole town that bars would constantly over charged for alcohol, people sold sub par drugs at overpriced to rich folks, city council only gave rich retirees low income housing, and the ski company there would fire anyone who would talk unionizing. The skiing was good so I stayed for eight seasons. But then one day I looked in the mirror and realized I wasn’t good looking enough to be a trophy husband. So I left Aspen for Montana.
 
I prefer salmon or tuna. Whitefish is just too bland, fish 'n' chips is alright though and that's usually some boring whitefish like hake or cod.

I got the job!!!!! So now I gotta find some public land haha! Where you talking about glacier? Or what other places are there around that are public lands
 
I had some whitefish for the first time last week and I must say it is extremely underrated. I always assumed it was some nasty fishy jewy meal. But its NOT! it's delicious!
