Well, because none of you seem to know whiteface that well, and I ski there 50+ days a year, I'll give you the low down. Every year they let slip that something new and exciting is going to happen with the park. This year, it's likely to happen, Mike Kershner is no longer park director and the new park director, Aaron Kellet, is more likely to get shit done. I know him personally, so I have some faith in him. Look for a repositioned pipe, It'll be steeper so maybe we'll get more than 4 or 5 good hits. Hopefully some new rails and boxes. And bigger jumps. Now, keep in mind, this is a state owned and operated mountain so things can happen pretty slow.
As for the conditions, yeah, some trails get really icy, but hell, it's the east. If you know the mountain well, you know where to avoid. If you don't, hook up with a local and try to keep up. We know how to have fun. Well, that's enough sticking up for my home mountain. Peas.
