Whiteface slides opened today

damn so jealous, every time i am there they are always closed. its ok snowbird just got 18 inches today though.

WHORES! Whiteface slides open, and the Tri-Lakes school districts never call snowdays, so I MISS IT! in over a decade of skiing Whiteface I have been once when the slides were open, and I was no where near good enough to ski them. And they'll prolly be closed by saturday becasue of the mid 30's and rain. And now I'm done bitching

Skied them today, 2nd tracks on slide 4. Pure Rediculousness, so nice. Snow is a little heavy but coverage is awesome, and its snowing alot still so if they are open tommorrow they will be even more rediculous

Someone enlighten me, what are these slides that seem to be so popular?

Like a water slide?!??! i wuv water slides

..joking but seriously id like to know

^the slides are the zone skiers left of summit chair at whiteface. That's so dope you go to hit em. Three years ago, first time had been to whiteface, alll the slides were open and we were up top just as ski po opened em. Dopest skiing (lift accessible) in da east.

ohhh fuck...I was there today, fuck me...approach glades were great tho, lol..god damn i cant believe this

open again today (friday). should be open tomorrow too. all blown in again last night so waist deep freshies once again. sooooo sick. there are a couple pics on the website whiteface.com. the pic of the day i took from the bottom. go to the flicker link on top of the site next to the youtube link. for a few others i took. wish i had pow skis. still snowing here. almost everything is open on the mountain. we are pushing to Hoyts high open. Not quite ready yet. maybe tomorrow.

shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit i hate you.
WILL THEY BE OPEN SUNDAY DO YOU THINK?
and will my gore season ass work there?
please reply, ill give +k

im not sure if ur season ass will work but ur season pass will. im not sure about sunday tho, they better be open saturday

I guess it's just unique terrain for the east coast. They're only open when there's a ton of snow up there. There are many drops. And I suppose if you decided not to get back on the summit chair and keep ripping, you could ski to the base to complete the highest vertical drop run in eastern north america.
