White balance when recording?

quick question and any help would be great, im just starting to get into filming and i was wondering if most people when filming (skiing) use auto white balance or set your own?
 
Set that bad boy to 5500K for outdoor shooting and you'll be good. You just never know what auto is going to do.
 
I would leave it manual everything. Af is usually unreliable in video. This will punch you in the gut when your friend lays a kfed and the video is out of focus. Mf is a challenge for a bit, but once you get it you'll be pulling great shots allllll day. It'll make you better with cameras as well.
