White and Yellow blotches on teeth?

I have some yellow and white blotches on my front teeth, and I don't know what they are or how to get them off.

I don't think it is just like discoloration from not brushing enough, as I brush everyday, and I don't smoke or drink coffee or anything.

At a point I wasn't brushing my teeth very often, but for hte last 5 months or so I have been brushing them every day. Either way though, it seems like standard discoloration would be even everywhere, and would not appear in splotches.

I can take a picture if it will help. I've seen other people have these kinds of things, it seems farily common.

I want to get rid of them, not that they are too big a deal, but you know.

i have white stuff on the bottom of some of my teeth. i asked my dentist what that stuff was and he said it was just stains from fluoride. so thats probably what your white stains are but the yellow ones puzzle me.
 
Yeah Im thinking its mainly that fluoride business. But so how do I get rid of that? And also, I think I will try crest white strips, but they seem expensive. And how long do they take?
 
id hate to break it to you but fluoride stains are permanent. i asked my dentist if i could get rid of mine and he said i cant...
 
it could be an enamel pigment, i had it on my back teeth when i was a kid but they grew out and now i have adult teeth yay
 
you do them for 30 min, 2 times a day, for a 7 day period. I used half the box and got results I liked. so I quit using them and saved for next time.
 
you just got your braces off didn't you dude? when i got mine off i had spots on my teeth where the braces were but they mostly went away. might be a little bit of glue left. also i know the spots where my braces were were whiter cuz there was no plaque or anything getting on them for a couple years. they're all gone now tho.

i dunno if white strips would be a good idea if you have splotches, they might just make them worse because they'd lighten everything, not just the darker spots.

thats kinda odd, id say try white strips or mabey a whitening at your dentests office. Nut be sure to ask him what they are first
 
Its probably something with your enamel. My enamel had developed improperly or something and I had the same thing on my front teeth. It was real bad. But a couple months ago I got porcelain venirs on my teeth. It was pretty much the only thing I could do about it.
 
therefore they cant get rid of it hahah. i dont know about you guys, but 7gs isnt worth removing a few white stains off my teeth.
 
I told my mom that I weas gonna get crest white strips and she asked my dentist about them. But my bitch of a dentist said there are no long tern effect proven yet so I shouldnt use them... fuck her
 
yea dude you can

just take a bottle of laundry bleach...or even the hair dye stuff....and swish it around in your mouth...but make sure to swallow it when your done!
 
Doesn't always work, there is some cleaning thing they do that's guaranteed to work. Since they are flouride stains they are deep in the tooth and bleaching only takes plaque off of the surface.
