Whistler vs Banff

A few buddies and I are hoping to move to Whistler or Banff next fall for a season if we can manage to find a place with the housing crisis. I really just want to know if people prefer Whis or Banff and why. Any thoughts would be appreciated seriously just looking for what people have to say from experience.

If you’re 19 go to whis, cool town, dope mtn that you live at rather than a drive away

Lots of STI's running wild in Banff. Make sure you stock up on rubbers and don't trust anyone that says they're clean.

The bike park is cool, but the single track in that area is even better

If you aren't drawn in by the party scene of whistler, and are looking to go to banff to avoid the crowds.... just go to Revy.

You don't need a car in whis to get to the mountain or anywhere which is one of the best things. I lived in three different places while there none of which were further than a 10min walk to the lift (creekside baby!). And the party scene is really good , house partys all the time and theres something in the village every night. You literally never cant find something to do. Downside would be how difficult it is to find accommodation and how expensive it is for everything . Work in a restaurant if you can because food is max expensive . Oh and the mountain is fucked up busy on weekends so thats when you want to be at work

Dis^ or if you can bartend or work as a server at night or something so you can ride all day and make tips from rich Mexican tourists
