Whistler, Van or Rossland

Doing some research before I move, what can you tell me about these places.

I hear living in van, you can hit up whistler, baker and seymore, etc. But living in whistler would be pretty dope, how does it compare to Red Mountain and whats the terrain like? life lines? tracked out quick? longest operational mountain? Im looking for a decent park and sick terrain on pow days.

well, those are all pretty different choices.

getting to the hills from van is good, if you have a car/reliable ride. if not it's a hassle, but you are living in a big beautiful city, though it is rather grey and wet during the winter.

living in whister is... living in whistler. be prepared to get up there early and for how expensive living is.

red is a complete opposite of whistler. it's small, quiet, has good terrain, good snow, and a small park. The town of Rossland is your typical small ski town, definitely not as diverse or stimulating as whistler.

Whistler is open longest and has the best park. Check the whistler or interior forums for more info.

living in van sucks. its a city, same as the rest. for the same rent you can get a decent place in whistler. if anybody tells you that whistler is expensive in comparision to van there wrong. if your main style of skiing is park then forget red. if you want to go ski big mountain then red might be a good bet but if your really want big mountain then move to revi/golden. red is sick as is whistler but so are a lot of other mountains, it just really depends on what kind of skiing your after. over all whistler is still king as overall best resort, they have sick parks as well as decent big mountain skiing. if it was me, i would head to whistler and live in someones closet

Venture out to whistler baker or Washington, but I have always dreamed of living in whistler cause you get that ski village feel to the place and everyone is just overall happier!
