Whistler tommorow

After the booths for the ferry in horseshoe bay there's a spot where the road curves and there's a bridge on the left. Across the road is an arm-fence thing that raises and lowers. Somewhere around there is a good spot.

I've had better luck hitching from the top of that hill, where you turn to the right, and it slows to 50km/h. Then it goes down and winds past the ferry booths, and past the bridge, arm and your spot. Cars are simply accelerating too fast there. It's much easier at the top of that hill, because they're only going 30km/h ish, and have a lot more area to stop, and see you. I think it's around the eagle ridge construction site turnoff, can't remember, since it's normally dark out when I hitch, because I've missed the last bus. Losing your driving license sucks.

Nadia at the spot I mentioned my record for hitching is negative eight seconds. As in I got a ride roughly eight seconds before I could put my stuff down and my thumb up. They don't have trouble stopping. But whatever.

Both places work, just that I've had better luck at the other spot. To each their own I guess...

i waited two hours in the rain one night across the bridge.

the next ferry came in and new hitchers were walkin up too...i was fuct, but then someone stopped and got me to squampton

I picked up a hitcher in Squampton when it was raining, it turned out to be a drunk native chick covered in blood.

True story, ask my roomates at the time, they saw the blood on the bench of my pickup.

Lesson learned eh?

Well... you have to sit in that truck for like 3-5 hours on friday.. haha. What gets blood stains out?

That's what I say to telemarketers when they call offering carpet cleaning. But I sound more agitated and desperate.

Ummm... oxy clean?
