WHISTLER THIS WEEKEND

well i might not be going now.... bamskis friend with a vehicle fell through, so now we dont have a ride up on friday night.

does anyone who is heading up to whistler on friday night have room for 3 people + gear?

so i skied today and heres my condition report.

there isnt much base, but all the open runs are completely covered and there are no rocks, so as long as you are staying on the open runs/park you wont need rock skis (unless it rains). it was snowing all day, and there was a nice layer of fresh in the morning. the park has a small handrail, a small jump, 2 regular sized boxes, a rainbow box, a butter box and a down flatbar. there was almost no one on the mountain until about 9:30, when all the gapers started flooding in.

all in all the conditions are great considering how small our base is!
 
blackcombs setup was way sicker today then whistlers was on friday.

I was up there today (yellow jacket, seths), it was kinda crappy weather but it was still really fun. The jibs they have set up are pretty good for just opening.
 
I was at Whis and Blackcomb sat and sun. It was pretty brutal rock-wise, but it was still fun! Whistler took down their park, and off the trails the rocks weren't fun and the fresh was slush. Blackcomb's park was good, and the little run off Jersey they had open had some fun jibs. Basically both mountains had only 2 runs open each.
