Whistler ski

im going to whistler for a season in a year and i need to get a ski that will do everything well in the park on the piste off the piste in the deep pow and BC and will be super fun and buttery, i like the look of the antems or the fujas but are there any others or which ones would be best. I weigh 180 pounds and am bout 5'11 to 6 ft cheers.

Yeah cant really go wrong with either Fujas or Anthems, both sick skis. However if you're not doing much park then Fujas would prolly be better for whistlies.

Get a fat pair and a park pair. Any ski you use in the park will only last a year. Having a dedicated park ski means your pow skis stay in good condition. Plus you'll have better skis for each area.

Kung fujas for sure. I'm getting them as my do-it-all ski and I live near Whis. Or Bacons maybe, although those wouldn't really be all that great in park...
Seths would be good too. Last years would be more versatile.
Anthems are too floppy and the center mount messes with skiing tighter trees, which Whistler has tons of.

I rode the Hellbents for a few runs while I was there. A few locals I talked to that had them said they bought Hellbents just for pow days, but ended up using them all the time.

I thought they were the best thing ever for soft snow, ok on groomers, and too heavy for park. But I'm also much smaller than you.

I thought the s6 had some rocker?? might be wrong tho.

I'm living in whistler next year and everything I'd planned on is to buy a park ski - probably the suspect - and then a wider ski, bacons, s6 or even possibly the movement baggy. Anyone riden next year's baggy or got any info on it?

why would you buy a ski now if youre not going to use it for a year? wait till next year. maybe some things will change in a ski you never thought of before. plus itll have the freshest look.

183 Pimp.

im skiing the 174 Pimp for park because my Punks got stolen and its seriously the most fucking fun thing ever, and it shreds pow. im only 5'8 though, so get the 183 if you want everything, or the 192 for pow.

its 103 under foot

185 S6 (scratch steeze) or 189 Obsethed. My buddy uses his steezes everyday in Whis and loves them. I've ridden them a bunch too and agree that it is a sick all mountain ski. The new Obsethed is supposed to be amazing. Amazing amazing, so I'd put it between those two.

you've never skied east coast trees have you... whistler is wide open comparatively. i skied my center mounted fujatives there without too much trouble, but i'd still recommend something much wider if you're living there.

obsethed mebbe? but seriously get 2 skis. a cheap park pair (used if u want) and a pow pair

nope.
But even if the trees aren't that tight, it would be nicer to have some skis mounted back a little at whis.

Centre mount is better in the trees, easier to jump around. When I worked in Whistler we sold a lot of Mojo 90s to Patrollers mounted close to centre for that reason.

I'm going to Whistler this season aswell. I'll be bringing my T-Halls as well as my JvsJ. I just hate skiing everything on just one pair...

i live in whis and there's no choice but 2 ski quiver. buy some used park skis from last year and then probly the hellbents for sure
