THIS WEEK IS GOING TO BE SICK!
Today was fucking amazing, deffs better than saturday. no lines, and it was dumping like crazy all day, basically endless pow if you knew where to go. There was finally enough snow to hit insanity! soo ill
Now to make an early decision.. With 25cm of snow in the forecast for almost every day until Friday, should I ski my bacons when I get up there Saturday? Is there any park set up yet, or would it be best to mess around in the pow?
gettin 40 cm overnight seems like a regular occurrence these days...its funny how we have a 190 cm base in mid-november. we didnt get that until like january last year.
same here bro. except something i saw on their site has me kinda worried, if you look at this http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/whatsopen/index.htm it says stuff about being open from the 14-19th, which is rediculous considering how much snow they are getting, i sent them an email to confirm, so i'll let you all know when they reply
It could have something to do with the high avy danger at the moment. Maybe being closed for the few days before bcomb opens is so ski patrol can do their thing and control the snow.
I would expect so. I skied trees all Sunday. I definitely encountered a little exposed terrain, but really not much. I'm assuming that after the 100 or so centimetres they've received since then that everything should be nicely covered.
all that means is that What's Open update is valid til Nov 19th. They'll update it again on the 20th when they know whats going to be open. word on the street is they want to get Peak and Harmony open by the weekend.
The snowiest November ever?! According to the WB website.
This forecast just keeps getting better. They've gotten over 50cm in the last 24 hours and to be conservative they will probably get at least another 50 before the weekend.
