Whistler Comp?

So I entered in the slopestyle competition on the 31st. Ive never been in a comp before and I don't really know what to expect. Like what is the level of skiing there? Are people going to be throwing dubs in their runs? I'm pretty sure I'm going to be humiliated at this thing and I'm super nervous so any info would be great.
And how does the course work? Is it going to be the four jumps on the left or the smaller line on the right with the rails and stuff? Or do you get to choose?

Thats good to know. I just didnt want to be throwing cork9's against back to back dubs. Does anybody know about the course?

Oh. It might be, but when I signed up they asked if I had already signed a HL park waiver and on the website it says that its on blackcomb

then im thinking it will be in the HL park.

since the size of the jumps depending on what line they do it on, im sure there will be dubs.

They organize it in age grouping though.

there's usually a few sick kids... wouldn't expect dubs at all. 9s and 10s. 450 out. standard park staples. categories are like 12 and under. 13-16 and 17+. or something close. enjoy, and the prizes are usually really weak unfortuately

dude just go for it. Im gonna and ill be doing cork 7s and shit. It really doesnt matter were all there just to have fun.

Its common to be nervous prior to your first competitions but I'd suggest you relax and just enjoy yourself. No one wins their first comp....its a learning experience that will be great as you'll feel more comfortable in future comps and may meet some new skiers.

Well it was all good. I wasnt nervous at all and I won. Just because of wack judging though. No dubs which made me a lot more comfortable.

I threw a cork 9 blunt (kind of blunt). But my rails/ boxes blew more than anybodies. I shouldn't have won but I guess the two jumps were scaled a lot higher than the two rails.
