Whistler/Blackcomb

Tomorrow morning I am flying to Vancouver and driving to Whistler. I've skied big mountain before so I like to think I know my way around, but this will be my mecca. I've studied the maps, but I would appreciate any veteran suggestions, really anything at all because this is gonna kick so much ass.

My suggestion is that you prepare yourself for a massive disappointment. Whistler hasn't been this bad in years. Enjoy the park...

I'd be up there, but I can't get a ride. Woe is me.

^ your fucked, all you have seen is snow on maps.

umm. there is no snow. I suggest not skiing out or else you will hit rocks and dirt.

also the best area to go on Blackcomb is going on the horseman-t bar and skiing there the whole day.

Thats where I am going tomorrow

i realize that ya it'll be disappointing, but i mean, whistler is whistler and i'm glad with that. i figure the bad season will stop me from dropping out of school and moving out there.

the parks are going well though? that's good.

yeahhh...the parks are sick but yeah...big mountain is hurting

Please, stop making skiing into a soap opera. This isn't the OC.

I went to whistler 3 weeks ago when they get about a foot of snow over the course of the week. It was fantastic. Because the conditions were kinda sketchy I hooked up with some locals who showed me around. You should do the same and you will have a week that will blow your mind. There is awesome terrain and snow in the forecast...have fun and don't listen to the cynics

You might be in luck bro. Don't let the naysayers get you down, its storming like a motherfucking whowho out there this weekend. If it all comes as snow, it will be sick, but don't huck if you don't know where your landing, lots of rock exposed this season.

I LOVE BIG DUMPS

yeah snow saturday rain sunday snow monday and im busing up tuesday, hope the forecast turns out right...

Gravity sucks

What's the difference between a drunk and stoner at a stop sign???

The drunk speeds through, the stoner waits for the sign to turn green.

on that note, this sounds kinda lame but could you tell me where there some good intermediate drops? i'm sure there are lots around, but any in particular that aren't that are nice?

Alright, everyone says that Whistler sucks, and yes it does. I live here and although there isnt anything on the bottom third of the mountain doesnt mean that its shit. The parks, still good. and as someone mentioned stay either on the glacier on blackcomb and on the flute bowl on whistler.

oh, forgot this, its expected to rain/snow (mainly snow) until tuesday or wednesday, after that the sun comes out for a week. Oh, dont trust this plan 100%, our 5-day forecast changed 3 times in 4 days so anything is possible.

yeah they've gotten about a foot of snow in 4 days, and it looks like it may continue. things are looking up. tempertures have dropped a little too, MAYBE we might even see snow into May now!

West is Best.
