Whistler Blackcomb added to Epic Pass for 16/17 season!

Today at 1pm MST Epic and Epic Local pass holders received an email from Vail Resorts stating that their passes will allow them up to 5 days of (restricted) access to Whistler Blackcomb Resort for the quickly approaching 16/17 season. This came as a surprise to many because the resort was not scheduled to be included in the Epic pass until next season (17/18) according to the release issued from Vail Resorts after they acquired the resort for a whopping $1.5 Billion this past summer. The email, link, and announcement is attached below.

so regular season pass price went down in price, and the spirit pass for locals got more expensive. what the fuck. It used to be 2000 for a regular pass and 1300 for a spirit pass. now its 1650 for regular, and 1450 for spirit. once again, what the fuck.

Prepare yourself for more WTF moments.

the headline will read very different for locals/ regulars.

Vail buys Whistler... If you think the previous management had their quirks...... watch closely as the fun gets replaced with liability concerns.

Im not as concerned by that. They have claimed multiple times now that Vail will not be managing WB. The existing management will continue what they have been doing. The lesser amount of liability concerns allows WB to do a lot of the things that makes them so well known. I'm sure Vail knows that they couldn't do a better job running the place then the current staff does.

even if there are a few more rules, it wouldn't really bother me...i just want a cheap pass already.
