Whistler accomadations

Can anyone recommend a hostel or cheap accomadations for whistler. A few of us will be staying their for two months this winter and have only found vacation rental via VRBO.COM, it is a good site however any local knowlege would help shit out for us. That would be great...thanks

I went through Whistler's website and ended up with a pretty good deal at the Marketplace lodge. Their rooms have full kitchens and two bed but only cost as much as your average hotel room.

the HI hostel on alta lake is sick but they only let you stay there for a week but theres other ones in creekside

Check the pique or the question, they're both newspapers. Get a house, or cram into a basement suit aussie-style.

Rent before Oct/Nov or you're fucked for rent. Dec/Jan/Feb there was NOTHING available to rent in whistler, and single rooms were going for absurd amounts surrounding that time.
