Before we start talking about 'scamming' this student pass, let's discuss how the whole student pass deal works.

You sign up for the pass in groups of 4. If one person in that group of 4 cheats their way in to get a pass, then the other 3 don't get one either, or must rely on Whistler Blackcomb to 'overlook' the fact that giving them passes breaks all the rules and policies around the 4buy4 pass, and still give them passes.

Long story short: Scamming the 4buy4 pass isn't cool, and trying to do it over NS is dumb, considering how many W/B marketing and sales people frequent this site.

No, its awsome that its for College and University, so that folks that are in school and not working as much can still get a pass for a wicked deal. Think of it as community building.

the only way that works to 'scam' the 4x4 is to sign up for collage courses with no intention of going to collage. u sign up dont pay any of your fees get the requiered info that whislter needs, class schedual, and then drop the courses after u get the pass. its pretty easy and quite simple.

ya what kj is talking about is pretty simple. costs you 10% of what the classes cost when you drop out. but is still cheap. is the 4x4 pass just the student pass to whistler or does it involve other mountains. im in ucfv this year. they had it last year and i think i saw an ad for it again.

 
The only problem with doing that is you can't ski everyday. The Guest Relations computers will figure out you are skiing too much to possibly be a student, and hot list your pass.

im not doing it but its basically fool proof. you get your class list and shit and get your pass then drop out. if the mountain suspects shit they can only get info from you. the university can not give out student information because it is a breach of privacy. whis is still making 400 bucks when they would not have made anything to begin with so i doubt tehy care that much. cant say that for sure though.

The 4x4 pass deal is awesome. I go to UBC and it is so easy to get it. You don't need 4 people (if you go directly thru whistler you need 4 people).Who is eligable: anyone in canada and us with full course load at an accredited university or college (this is what is was last year at least)

you need a powerade label with upc code, you need a printout of all you courses and student number, and proof of age (under 25), then when you go to whistler to pick it up they check your ID again. it is $384.13 with tax, pretty damn cheap.

 
also, just go tak to your colleg/university ski/snowboard club, or rep, and they should have the forms for you to fill out, then they submit them to whistler.

359 is an unbelievable price for whistler/blackcomb. i payed 250 for my tremblant 4x4...and this is whistler and freaking blackcomb for 100 dollars more. pay the bloody 400 bucks, and give those mountains the respect they deserve people.
