Herd they built a full park today. Anyone know where it is cause I was told its not in the same spot. What is setup?

i tried it out, seems worse then the old whis park anyone have any idea on weather its staying there for the season or if its moving back to the old spot ?

on a different note, i herd news that blackcomb park might be moving over to crystal area next year.

Considering a cat can't drive through the old park at the moment i'd say crabapple its pretty alright. Once there is enough snow it should move back up.

And for blackcomb I highly doubt its moving anytime soon. There has been so much work done to it in recent years.

a member of the blackcomb park crew said that it might be moving over to crystal next season. If they do that i would be stoked to see the park on twist and shout with the natural halfpipe, all the rollers, and the slope not being supper steep.

For sure dude, just give me a shout out if you see me. I shred mostly blackcomb in purple or camo brown pants with a black jacket.

heard from a friend this works on whistler mtn that the park will not be returning to whistler mtn due to the fact that there were so many snowboarder vs. ski schooler related injuries last season late in the year. Emerald is the best skiing for instructing on Whistler mtn (or at least ski schools favorite) and when they put the park on the same chair, there was a massive increase in the volume of injuries resulting from collisions. Sad, but can't argue w those facts.

Apparently 6 sets of broken toddler legs in a week late last year according to him and other 30 injuries in a month around. Few guys over 60-70 y.o. got taken out by people (mostly boarders, he said) near and after the park exit / in-between sections and there were some big lawsuits (prob still pending). Whistler ski school has a lot of pull with the two mountains politically as they're the biggest of the ski schools in BC. Idk, sounded like it was a pretty big deal.

Despite the snowfall offering a range of other arguments to be considered for why there is no park there, even the rail section at the top (which could be there despite the snowpack) this is what I've heard on good authority. As a result, it sounds like they're trying to keep park skiing and snowboarding strictly on backcomb because the catskinner chair is there solely for facilitating the parks. Personally, this makes me sad, whistlers park was great!!

Clearly your friend has no idea what's he is talking about....skibummark is the lead park ranger for whistler so I think he knows what's goinG on with the park

i went through the whis park today after skiing pow all day and i got to say it was fun lots of boxes and some rails. i got to say the mini jumps are a little weird but there good things to use when you want to get some speed just pump them. I liked it just a awkward location and kinda far from the chair at the end.

i heard they bumped it back up to emerald how is it. is it worth checking out this weekend? list of features would be great

There is only two good jumps. Medium to large size. and a bunch of down rails. It's fun if you wanna improve your rail game. It's a longer run so a lot more feature. I'd say check it out.
