So I was just on Facebook and someone liked a "Best Snowboarding Tricks of 2014" video. So I decided to click on it and watch the video. The tricks were so cheesy and whimsical that it was almost making me laugh to think that's what progress has been for snowboarding. I mean using the board like a skateboard is technically hard but it just looks stupid to me. I feel skiing is way more progressive without getting stupid while trying new things. Maybe I'm bias but whatever
 
The best trick I have seen a snowboarder do in person is a tailgrab 720. Meanwhile, 7 year old skiers are throwing backies and progressing like crazy.
 
Skiing is really stupid too. Look at travelling circus or real skifi or even some of the stuff the inspired crew does can be really stupid. Doesn't mean that it isn't all fucking awesome though
 
Look up "Best ski tricks", and you're gonna get some results of shitty cork 7's from 5 years ago. Don't judge snowboarding on that bullshit.
 
I want somebody to try that double hand plant at four minutes on skis.

And OP, who cares if it looks "cheesy" if you are having fun doing it?

You're entitled to your opinion as am I. But mom joke...fucking lame.

This isn't a skiing is better than snowboarding post; all I stated was the progression of tricks aren't on the same level as skiing.
