While cutting poles...

after i cut them, do i just stick the grip back on, or do i need to glue it back on?

depends on what kind of poles. but usually you can just slide it right back on

yea depending on how much you cut off and how much they tapped you can pop them back on. Best done by dipping grips in boiling water so they expand and popping them back on. Glue should not be manditory

so far when i've cut my poles i just used a mallet to hit them off with and used it to hit them back on with. its worked good for me

some poles have a wood plug at the top where the strap screw goes in. chk that out. if u have that pop the wood plug out with a screwdriver & hammer or something and put it into the new cut pole.
