Haha, ok, funny story -
So I'm over in France this summer with my friends, and we stop in a supermarket in Riems. We start at the beer section and slowly mingle into the wines. At the end of the rack, theres a selection of champagne. On the very bottom, tucked into a corner is a lone bottle of this brand. One bottle of this stuff cost 1.20 Euros. EUROS. Thats about $1.70. For champagne. I payed for it with two coins I had in my pocket.
Needless to say, it tasted like fermented yeast, but hey, it was champagne. And thats why I love Europe.
And back to the topic a bit: I like whites, Alsace's can be pretty good usually. Reds are just... not worth drinking. Too much tannin, large quantities ensure a puke.
