Which Weather pattern this year????

anyone know if they have predicted a weather pattern this year for the west (cali, OR, and washinton) el nino like last year? or will oregon finally get some snow?

All I gots 2 say is it better f**kin' drop this winter in washington and idaho. Last winter pretty much made me want to cry! But hey it already snowed once, so that's gotta b a good sign right?!

last winter in vernon, bc it didnt snow until like marcg-may, and our mountains closed earl. stupid.

 
I hope this next year is half as good as it was last year in Cali. Every day last year was an epic powder day.

Anyway, a gas station we pass. We got gas, and ran off to get grub.It was a nice little pub in the middle on nowhere. Anywhere woulda been better. I ordered enchiladas and I ate 'em, Ali had the fruit punch.

 
If you go on the environment canada website it gives and indication of whats to come. They only supply info for 3 months in advance. At this point they are saying for western canada, most likely including north western us. That the temps are going to be mild again, which means a whack season again. But like I said that's only three months in advance (August, September, October) so we aren't going to have an early season this year.

listen...i know its really great to think that we can know wat winter is gonna hold. but u just can't...ok, like last season the farmers almanac or watever thing the gives long term forcast said that the sierra neveada mountain range would have a mild to dry winter....well, my mountian received nearly 700 inches,...so u can't really tell just have to wait and see. all i know is that i hope and pray that my mountain can just gets its average(450 inches), or better

i hope it's nothin like last year for the east there was grass in december need more snow.

I understand that the predictions are not always correct. But for the most part they can tell what coastal regions will be feeling not accurately. But well enough to tell if ur going to see an early winter or not. They base all the measurements on the ocean currents. There is sensors and people testing temperature in the worlds oceans constantly.

Now for instance if a strong jet stream were to arise bringing water from the south that could only change water temps by .1 and that can have a major change on the weather. anyways long story short these are obviously predictions by what is being seen at this time.

I heard that this year that in California it will be a low snow year and it will be good in the North West.
