Personally, I like wearing a ski mask (like those robber masks you see in the movies) but I have a north fave cotton beanie(or toque if you live in Canada) make sure it fits under your helmet though

If I'm wearing a helmet, I have a really thin winter running sort of thing (I crank out a lot of heat, so don't need anything too warm and I've got a good beard, so don't need a full balaclava)

If I'm not wearing a helmet, I like a bit of a slouchy beanie, but not too loose.

I have a normal Oakley hat over a dakine face mask and that seems to work well with my size large smith holt. no itching black on black for extra steez

Fitting and cotton. Looks way better and feels better than an big loose beanie under the helmet. Can't stand the looks of an oversize beanie under the helmet.

I have this random TNF beanie I got when i purchased a item from someone on here and use that thing every day. Its warm enough to hold in heat but loose so i can wear it on spring days without getting too hot.

medium thickness, 100% merino wool, less slouchy is better if im wearing it under a helmet.

i get em for like $10 from MEC.
