Thinking of going to tahoe for the 1st time this winter which is the best mountain to go to? From the east coast and have never skied out west before, let me know what you think!!

pretty much all are good.

go to northstar for park

go to squaw or alpine for the big mountain riding

squaw's downfall is the price though

here's the basics for tahoe:

if you have money: squaw, will be your best bet, good mtn, good parks, but be prepared to share with LOTS of tourists and people just learning how to ski, it was the home of the 1960 olympics you know, so everyone from every country must visit and ski there at least once apparently

Alpine: all around good mtn, pretty good park, getting better every year, lots of locals and people that know what they're doing, plus they have a $199 young adult pass if you get it before october 1st

northstar: nothing to bragg about unless you want to ski park, and strictly park

homewood: good for powder, and skiing alone, slow chairs, small mtn, but great pow

boreal: boriental, enought said

kirkwood:i don't ski there too much b/c i have squaw and alpine so close, but also a pretty good mtn

heavnely: also don't ski there enough to say much on either side, but they also have a young adult pass for $299

sierra: good parks

thats about all i can think of, let me know if you have any other ?'s. i will be buying my pass at alpine this year, but that's where i grew up skiing, if you have the money, go to squawllywood. good luck when you get here

ha... boreiental... so true...

Mercy's eyes are blue

When she places them in front of you

Nothing holds a roman candle to

The solemn warmth you feel inside

kirkwood is my favorite because the crowd, no one goes their expecially having such good terrian and such a huge park, alpine is second becuase of the good people there and the cost, cheaper

i grew up skiing at heavenly my whole life and the past couple years it has become infested with tourists. i love heavenly to death but it's gotten out of hand.

i have skied at every resort around the lake and i would recommend alpine and squaw.

I think they're teaming up so that your alpine pass gives you access to Boreal early season...maybe during the winter too.

Jeff: Hey Geoff, did Ronny tell you not to wear any boxers so he could rape you better?

Geoff: No, I just put my boxers on backwards so the hole is in the back...it's alot easier that way.

'I'm in his nigger crew' (my little brother in response to my statement that he was in my 'digger crew')

'My knee hurts' (Jeff Merat after grinding a lunch table for an hour instead of sitting in the ski patrol shack for his torm mcl and acl which he got earlier that day.)

'I'm not asking for any help, just maybe for you to get off your ass.'(my dad)

i only ski at boreal when i have to. basically when there the only mountain open.

..Seth Pistols rock my fuckin socks..

^ true true, although i have some friends going to unr, and while it's a good school, you're living in reno. not the most exciting place in the world. if you have any more questions, let me know

Not positive but i am like 95% sure that alpine just hired eric rosewall or whatever his name is from mammouth mountain and he is taking over the parks at alpine and boreal. If this is true then they invested like 2 mill in the project and their new mission statement is to have the best park in america. on another note I just moved to Truckee from michigan and i know no one and nothing about the area so if anybody has any pointers or whatever let me know.

alpine is gonna have to make there park space bigger if they want a better park....last year when I went it was shitty...most of my friends are switching over to squaw.....I go to squaw mostly becasue my dad gets a free pass there because he makes all their t-shirts and I can most of the time get away with skiing for 5$.

Style is Everythang

burn it down

peace up

no one said any thing about sugar bowl. That is a great mountain especialy If you like bc type stuff, some very nice, and tough terrain there. All arround a very nice mountain.

I NEED SNOW UNDER MY FEET AND NOW!

South Lake rules - you have your choice of Heavenly and Kirkwood for big mtn skiing and great parks, and you have 24 hour nightlife, gambling and hookers! Kirkwoods where it's at for the steeps and Heavenly's park and trees are insane + word is that Heavenly's going to open their boundaries!!!!! + they have a cheap $229 student pass. Check out www.southshoresoldiers.com for the low down...
