ok i searchbared and nothing useful came up. i was woundering what is the best camp to go to this upcoming summer. i have been looking at momentum which costs 2,116usd and has free off day mountain biking and lots of of other cool stuff also the place were you sleep looked nice, camp of champions which costs 2,324usd and dosent have as much off mountain to do stuff.

i was woundering which has better coaches and terrain like jumps and rails. also what do you think is better. id be cool if you guys could help me out thanks

ive been going to momentum for 3 years and every year ive said it was my best week of my life. i would say that coc has a better park but they have a very busy t bar. i wouldnt say that momentums coaches are "better" but there is defiantly more of a pro status if you care about that. both camps coaches will teach you what you want to learn and help you have a great time doing it. you should also remember that coc's prices doesnt include meals and momentum does.

COC definately. It's always great weather there, pros show up daily and show you new tricks and shit. Worth the extra money

p.s. I havent been to COC but my friend has and he told me all about it and loved it

wow windells is less than both of them
honestly i had so much fun at windells (say its played or whatever i dont care) the coaches are the best, tramps are fun, tons of stuff to do off the hill, park is sick even late in the season. food is good, cabins are decent, free stuff, staff sale is awesome and they never put you through any of that normal summer camp bullshit. none of the 'no talking to girls' crap. i met some really chill people there and met some of my heros.trust me, youll love it.

on the windells web site it didnt say the price yet so i didnt put that but it looks like the most chill camp

if your in the US you should for sure go to windells. everything is inclusive, amazing off hill facilities, so many nice people, pros galore,mt.hood is epic, park is amazing, the most expensive sessions are still about $300 dollars less than COC's/momentum's(I went to session 6 and it was $1600), SOOOO FUN

well i went for a little over 1600. (not including my brother and our flight)honestly the this that was even remotely bad was that i was the only girl skier and it was 100 degrees at the basebest week of my life.

does it bother anyone else that so many people get to go to summer ski camps

not flamming you people that can

but how am i supposed to progress and try to be a high level skier if i cant afford to ski in the summer and go to camps and stuff?

no not sarcstic

just wish i was lucky enough to go to a summer camp

it makes me feel like im gonna be behind forever as far as free skiing goes

lol

there are tons of these threads if u searchbar right, but i have been to windells and COC. they were both amazing camps but since i spend a lot of time in whister, i liked windells a bit better. they have a tramp and foam pit, SOOOO much free stuff, pros are everywhere, its just really fun skiing and not skiing the food is great too. that being said COC was really fun to, after riding you get to go into the village and chill with friends or do all this other fun stuff. so it depends more on wha u wana do after riding because i found on hill they are about equal

Go to Evolve Chile or SASS. Ski powder, meet new people and have a great cultural experience at the same time. What's not to like. Personally I think the extra $$ is worth it.

I'm sorry, I just couldn't help but laugh at this. Perhaps you should try to earn your turns? No hate, but come on, man, seriously?

dude, you don't have to go to summer camps to be a good freestyle skier. you just have to push yourself in the winter. A lot of people think that if you go to a summer camp you automatically become good, they don't have the special secret to make you an amazing skier that only Tom Wallisch knows, a lot of people improve at summer camps because they realize how much they can push themselves/learn new stuff all while having fun

i also would like to go to evolve chile but my mom said no way cause its in southamerica and plain tickets cost a lot

suck it up I was saving for 2 years then my parents cleared my bank account. so then I startid over now this year I fianly have saved enough to go just do the same.

windells, its all about the coaching and u can't beat windell's coaching staff. Chillest vibe and the park is sick. Its also the least expensive

Mhssc if you wanna learn stuff go to mhssc it's more of a race camp but they still have a sick park. Way more chill than windells, i've talked to many people that have been to both and they say windells is way to strict, plus last year for a good part of the summer mhssc medium sized jumps were better than windells. Mhssc is ideal if you're not a terrific park skier, even if you are super good at park you'll be happy there. I'm pretty sure it is the cheapest camp too

I've been to both Momentum and COC. Both are really amazing camps with awesome coaches and staff. With COC yes the park is the sickest park ever in the summer! With the lift lines they can be bad some times but that is mainly because of kids from Momentum and the public park getting laps or taking a lunch break. My advice would be to go to session D of COC cause Momentum stops halfway through the week. With Momentum you do have the best coaches in the world. Even though the park is smaller than COC. You still have blast! The lift line for Momentum usually isn't that bad at all. But last year I saw the line get pretty damn long because of ski racers and the PSI Camp(I think, not a 100% positive). With free stuff. If your really want to just go to a camp that gives you the most free stuff then hit up COC. I went there and got there little free bag of stuff that had a beanie, magazine, stickers, and a wristband. And later into the night I won some Nike 6.0 shoes and a pimp Nike 6.0 hat and some sweet oakley shades. But no matter what you decide as long as you go to ski camp you'll have the time of your life. Just stay positive and prepare for anything(weather). A trip to Whistler is definitely worth your time and money!

I heard windells is adding a second rope tow next year that would mean 0 hiking or laping the rope tow on the jump line this year was the sickest thing ever.

this man speaketh The Truth. mhssc= the bomb. im going to be cit there next year hopefully :D

Serious question

Would it be absolutely freaking creepy if I, a 21 year old guy, showed up to a summer camp?

This only my 2nd real season. Never was much for park, but I've wanted to go to a camp, lol.

i would say not momentum and if you want to have the best off hill time then COC but for the best overall experiance windells

Dedication bro, I was at hood doing dig to ride this summer most days and I met a group of snowboarders who were living in the woods in tents so they didn't have to pay for accomodation, and doing dig-to-ride like every day at Windells, all the while eating super cheap by cooking all their own food.
Save up some money and make it happen. If you want something you have to go out and get it.

If you got the bone, COC. The park is better, and because its five minutes out of whistler, they got space to set up the tent wheres theres so much sick shit. You're gonna get a good coach at either. The only prob with COC is the paying for supper and stuff, but thats small stuff

just save your pennies and you will probably get enough money maybe not for this coming summer but probably the one after that
