I like to butter around a lot but also i like the go big on jumps. Every once in a while I like to head out to the mountains and hit some natural features but for the most part I ski park. I need a really durable ski aswell. Which ski would be a better fit for me between the 2 companies?

Durability wise, they are both extremely durable. The softest ski out of those will be j skis or fr. Kartels would be stiffer. For what you want I'd say it's a toss up until you give us some for info like wieght, height, ability, likes/dislikes, stuff like that.

I weigh like 100 but I'm pretty short so i normally go for 164cm. I can do pretzel 270,s on rails, backflip and spin off of like 30ft jumps. I don't like to much rocker but i like just enough to float in soft snow. The only thing i hate in skis is if you charge down the mountain and they start getting unstable and jittery.

Well fr and j skis are soft but your pretty small so they might not chatter on you too much. And how much soft snow are you gonna be in? Kartel will float the best, then j skis, the fr.

Honestly I'm not sure I would recomend either te skis you are looking at. Your a small guy so a light ski will be good for you. I personally would say look at the imfamous, thall and futer spin.

Well he said he likes a ski with not too much rocker but that can float in the fresh. Those skis wouldn't float too well. And if he doesn't like a lot of rocker 98 shape j skis might be the way to go if they make a small enough size

Is it just me, or is there a new thread in gear talk every single day where op asks this exact same question?

At this point, probably. Would clear up a lot of clutter and a lot of reposts in here. It would make the lives of all those trying to figure it out easier as well. Really, everyone wins.

Your forgetting how small he is. At 100lbs a 85mm ski will keep him up in fresh snow. There is no need for him to go wider all it will do is add weight which at his size will not be good.

That is true. But it may be worth going to the j skis 90 shape. It has some rocker and 5mm can make a difference when the pow gets deeps
