Hi,

I'm looking for a new skis for this year - I ride mostly in Park - small jumps, some rails, also I like to carve a bit too, practically not riding any offpiste. Last year I rode Invaders 178, liked them, but now I would like to try some lighter skis, I weight 176 pounds and I'm 6.3".

I was looking at Atomic Punx, Line Invader 09, Ninthward Butterlicious, Liberty Phil Larose Pro also High Society Classic.

Just for a fun, I tried to find approximate weights of the skis, here is what I found so far (please add the missing info if you can):

Armada Pipe Cleaners 2009 176cm - 8.6 pounds

High Society Classic 2009 177cm - 7 pounds

Atomic Urban Punx 2009 175cm - ???????

Line Invader 2008 178cm - ???? (will try to weight mine)

Ninthward Butterlicious - ????

Liberty Phil Larose Pro 2009 178cm - ????

Also I'm considering of getting a pair of skis for all mountain everyday skiing and probably some offpiste - what can you say about Ninthward First Blood 181cm? Are they wide enough for offpiste?

PS. I'm also getting some light bindings - the lightest seems to be Salomon Z12 ti at 1780g, followed by salomon S14 at 2060g.

I would appreciate any useful replay! Thanks!

i would go with the ninthwards.
either the butterlicous with a medioum flex.

and the other ninthwards are definitely wide enough for off piste.r

ninthwards are hellla light skis. ive heard the punx are fairly light too. but i dont have specific weights

I just found out that Ninthward Comte 176cm skis are super light - about 5 pounds!!!

What can you say about Comte skis?

wellll ive ridden the 09 and they are sick as hell, way poppppy, and you can still ski them like a regular ski, which is way coool. all in all awesome ski. and so the the 08s and 07s. they also have a super sick warrenty as well. you wont be dissapointed

Got the Ninthward Comte Pro 09 - thew were a lot heavier than told - 7.2 pounds. Sold them.

Now will buy Liberty Larose which weight also around 7.2 pounds.

conclusion - all skis are made in just a few factories and by the same methods - so the weight is around the same for all skis in same sizes and width.

not sure if theyre even taken into consideration by you, but Im pretty sure the marker jesters are lighter than the 2050g s14's, arent they ?

phil larose i have them in a 178, and they are my favorite ski ive ever owned.

list of skis i ve owned

Troublemakers,

Foils,
