Which Ski??????????

So Ive outgrown my 164cm line 1260s and the edges are torn out, So I'm gonna be skiing some new skis this season.

I am 5' 10' and 165lbs. Ski rails mostly and some jumps, I wanna start doing more jumps, I like to ski BC too, love pow

Heres the options, I can get a hold of some 177cm STLs, or theres a guy who can sell me some 171 invaders for an amazing price. or I'm thinking about buying some anthems either this years or the new ones, in either 171 or 178

I think 171 might be a little short but I worry that going up to 178 could be bad because It will be harder to spin on and off rails and do switchups.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks NS

well don't get invaders if you ski out of the park. anthem s would be good but they don't hold up all that well. stls would be your best bet. they seem to hold up well and they ski well

For someone of your height 178 will be absolutely fine. Where d you plan on mounting, true center? Obviously if you get a symmetrical ski then center it is. The anthem will be nice because of the extra width, and will be soft and playful. The STL will be stiffer, able to handle deep landings more and won't be as washy in the powder. I can't be too sure on the anthem though as I haven't skied them enough.
But 178 will be nice as mounting at center skis shorter anyway.

fuck that. libs are so unresponsive and just like dead two by fours. on and there stiff as one too.

id deffenatly go for the 178. trust me you will be glad you did. as for anthems they sound like what your looking for kill it in the park. shred the rest the mountain. reall fun and resposive.

another option would be like a chronic or the arv

you will be fine with a 177 or 178, its so much nicer to ride longer skis on the mountain, if you get them like 1 inch back from center, they wont seem long at all, i am 5' 11" and 180 isnt big enough for me, i want some 190s but can find any, deffinitally go with the 4frnt

id go anthems in 178 if i were you. the longer ski will give u more stability and more comfort. spinning will be ok, its not that much extra weight. if u like bc and pow, theyll handle that much better than stls or invaders

stls are not durable, i destroyed a pair in two months

and with the amount of hype on line and armada right now, you can go buy their product, but i garuntee there will be at least five other people at your mountain riding the same gear, but thats up to you

in my experience larger companies have allways produced a better product, and they back it better too, i have had great luck with rossignol, head and K2, and because its not on overhype this year you will probably be the only person rocking it

the j.os are super responive, incredibly light and reasonably priced, plus theyre heads so they should hold up super well, the new rossis are also nice and have some of the best graphics this season

for length, no matter what you buy, go 178+, you get used to spinning with it really quick and it gives you way more control, balance and stability on your landings, and not to mention people will actually take you seriously. Ive been riding a 183 since i was 16 and i was only around 5'9 at the time, trust me once you get a long ski you will never go back

word. if you like a stiff ski then lib techs would be good for you. I ski on lib techs and love them....but you cant do any butters

aggreed i ride the lib nas park series pretty stiff but i like the pop. also they are extremely responsive. the mag traction is legit
