hey guys, i have skiied for years but have never bought my own. which do u guys recon would be a good ski for me? looking at a all round ski as i mostly ski all mountain but i want to get more into park. 6ft 165lbs. narrowed it down to:

Armada - JP Vs Julien

K2- public enermy's

line- chronics

Nordic - enforcer

volkl - mantra and bridge

preferences?

wait how have skied for years and never bought ur own

i would go for the chronics if u like a stiff ski

There is really a large amount of variation in what you have picked.

The Jp v Julien is a bit wider than what I would want to be playing with in the park, so I would leave that out. However, if you get 300" of snow a year or more at your hill, than they would still be a possibility, but a large compromise.

The Bridge is 90, 92ish at the waist? This is where I would focus. Skis that are around 90mm at the waist are generally quick enough to not hold you back in the park but do ok in powder and tearing up other things as well. After just flexing the Bridge, I was pretty impressed, but I haven't skied it. Look at the Scott Punisher as well as the Line Chronic Blends.

I would shy away from pure park skis like the Invader, as they will not have the girth that is so helpful in an all mtn ski.

i had basically the same problem as you and I went with the 4frnt MSP, look into it. and if you are a college student you get 35% off

what a mix you have there,

arv, brigades for a wider ski,

troublemakers, ar6 for a more park orientated.

if no bc then jo pro worth a look, great park and all mountain performace

volkl bridge, or last years Karma. PE's might be Ok, but they are pretty heavy and I find they chatter at high speeds in East coast all mountain conditions (bumps and ice). I demo'd the volkls one day and they carved way better than my 05/06 Publics, and felt lighter in the air.

i am your exact weght and height, and i have PEs and they are really sick for all mtn. but i also think the bridge would be good.

no one has mentioned them, i'm pretty sure that they can be eliminated. I personally don't know anything about them. Take a look at 4frnt MSP's though

It depends where you ski and stuff but I would say:

if you ski more powder and want a wider ski:

Volkl Bridge

Armada  ARV

K2 Seth (may be to wide)

If you dont ski alot of powder or not deep powder and want to ski park but be able to ski all mountain as well:

Armada AR6

K2 Public Enemy (stiff ski)

Salomon Foil

Those are just a few choices I would recoment

looks like i will go with the line chronics as i was swaying that way b4 i posted the thread and most people agreed! planning to use either dalbello rampages or SPK pro with them. What binding would go with this setup?
