khai krepela and joe sexton have hit it aswell, to be fair most spots have been hit at this point and it’s fine to hit the same spot unless you are doing the same trick imo. honestly doubt Alex stole a cl spot because he have had cameos in most their vids and they seem like homies

100% on the dot about this tho. If I were trying to make a street video though I would put my priorities on traveling outside of SLC, where everything has been done over and over, and try to find some more unique shit in smaller towns, aka other than the Minneapolis area.

CL boys for sure could have done that, but how do you know ahall cut it off and not a property manager? CL also deliberately hit spots that snowboarders hit, I just think that whole idea of abd spots being lame isn't valid.

like in security notice there's that down rail that a million people have hit but a hall does a blender nose tap sw 2 on to it, yeah the spot isn't unique but the trick 100% is. Like hi_vis said, the spots don't matter it's how you hit them

and I don’t think ABD stuff is lame i just don’t appreciate it nearly as much as new stuff. There’s a little higher level of respect I have for those who put in the time to find unique shit and do their video homework to have a grasp on what’s been done and what hasn’t. rather than just asking another crew for a pin.

The way I see it ahall is such a talented rider, he could be doing his insane ass shit on nbd stuff and would permanently own the spot and set the bar to the damn sky on it. Just frustrates me a little when people don’t use all their potential.

that being said ABD stuff is an essential part of street riding (whether I like it or not) because that’s what progresses it.

Never heard of it being done by other skiers, but like others above said I bet property managers or business owners or town patrol have done it.

if I rolled up to a new spot and saw a lock on it with another crew’s tag or whatever, I’d hit it with the lock on it if possible, would make it sicker. either just fuck around with iPhone clips or take it more serious and try to get a clip on the camcorder, and don’t post anything until after said crew drops their video. Courtesy kinda thing.

Elijah is sick, a very rare skier that does stuff you won't see anywhere else on teles by anyone else, super dope.

However, this premiere's point is that it will be a huge party, hopefully not with frat bros, but with dope homies that love the heart of skiing and good music. I personally think the people that go will be good people and not the greek life type and will bring a great energy to the thing. Entourage has literally been advertising this as "the biggest party of the year" so it has quite literally been pitched as a party. The premiere is at a concert venue, with a bar, stage, and general admission area where everyone will be standing, it will be a party, but a party you'll hopefully actually want to attend.

But don't let this attempt at a sick ski movie premiere resembling a party take away from you enjoying their vids because it shouldn't.

I don’t think he’s is or isn’t doing it for the money I think he just wants to get his project on a bigger stage, and do something that’s never really been done before, which is a collaboration between (big) artist and skier. Whereas usually those big artists have no idea who we are and what we do.

I could be wrong though. Maybe Henrik gets some of the cash anyway from monetization since it’s his cudeo but who knows. Super interesting regardless of the specifics.

Not like he's using their names for clout. He met with Conway pretty recently and Benny clearly fucks with him, as he agreed to put it on his youtube. Don't know how the monetization goes, maybe they have an agreement, but the video will probably get a lot more views since Benny has like 300k subs. Rather than glomming onto black culture I think this video will show people how Henrik has been inspired by it and how it influences his skiing. Yeah Henrik has done some goofy shit before, like naming an edit "Cruiser weight coke" but I think this is fine and I'm hyped to see the video.

New onslaught trailer actually looks sweet as hell. I’m usually not a huge fan of their vids / spot selection but this one looks like it’s gonna be pretty damn good honestly.

Agree. I've been enjoying the raw clips they've been posting for the past while. It's always interesting to see the process behind a street clip. I think their last video was too long and they could've been more critical with the editing and slimmed it down a bunch. Or maybe my attention span just isn't what it used to be lol

Was anyone else here at the Faction premier last night in SLC?

A kid tried to do a backflip on stage, landed on his face, and split his eyebrow open. The main movie was also good.
 
The Line street movie is fucking good. Just watched a screener and spot selection is on another level.
