Which show is cooler? "Man vs. Wild" or "Survivorman"

Bear was SAS. That is all that matters. He easily takes it (even with all the recent shit about his show).
 
These do happen quite a bit, and suvivorman will always win, because he films himself, and hes not a fake like bear. Les also gives good tips, unlike Bear who gives ones that will get you killed, and builds crappy shelters.

definitely but i think survivorman gives better tips and hes legit, not to take any skillz away from bear because he probably could survive relatively well in most of those situations, did u know he was the youngest englishman to ever scale everest? yup
 
survivorman just sits there for a week. he films himself, but thats about it. bear at least makes his way out of wherever he is, and does nutty things like climbing huge trees, killing rabbits with a stick, etc. plus hes done a ton of other stuff in his life that is super core. maybe for me the entertainment value is what does it, and man v. wild is def more entertaining.
 
id say that even if the rumors that bear sleeps in hotel rooms and everything are true the man is still alot more hardcore the wes strough (no idea how to spell his name).

ever since the fuss over man vs wild i haven't seen it on tv and that was weeeeeks ago. survivorman is on all the time though...GOOD
 
survivorman does some interesting things, but he just stays put, knowing that he is done after a week or he can just go find his crew nearby. so its not very dynamic, but still cool.

bear grylls is a badass. his credentials aren't too shabby. i like man vs wild more overall
 
I'm giving this one to Survivorman, even before that other dude was called out on faking it. Wes is the shit, the other guy just does stupid stunts.
 
bear eats pancakes at a hotel every morning, he's a total fake.

stroud carries all his own shit out their and films himself. he's also absolutely ALONE, unlike bear.

he's also the real deal, which is important.

THANK YOU PERSON WHOM HAS WHICH POSTED THIS THREAD.

after spending weeks at a time in the backcountry ( summer and winter ) and then watching douche bags like "Bear" grills take incredible risks in the wild, while promoting survival makes me sad. in one episode, he could have climbed down a river-side cliff and followed the bank, searching for a crossing area, but instead he decided he would take the thirty foot plunge, fully dressed, into an icy cold river, only to try to climb up a 90 degree cliff on the opposite bank. ALL WHILE HE WAS CONVINCED HE WAS BEING CHASED BY A GIANT MAN-EATING BEAR. in the middle of no where far away from civilization, where bears are not humanized, bears will not bother you, unless you are like Bear Grills and have FOOD SHOVED UP YOUR ASS ! sorry for being so touchy on the topic, i could list many other examples of bear grills being stupid to get his ratings up, but i won't.

MORAL: i am a mild supporter of the show "survivorman".

P.S. : when bear grills was with the Brits spec-ops, he was a pansy and stayed home to do his commanders bitchwork.
 
are you high? i watched that survivorman episode where hes on his island. he just sat there. and the one in the swamp. sat there, then made a "raft" out of like three logs that he kept falling off of.

^^ if you are lost and need to stay alive, you stay in one secure spot and build off of that. unless you want your ratings to go up, then you freak out in the middle of the night and run blindly through the woods because a rabbit nibbled at your bum.
 
Like showing you how to get out of freezing cold water.. Like showing you how to build tents, like showing you how to make fires, like showing you how you find your directions with nature, like showing you how much hours of sun you have left, like telling you dangers to look out for in the wild, AND he does some sick shit, unlike 'Survivorman' who just sits on his ass and barely gets rescued.
 
Bear Gryllz is a beast, there should be a fight out in the jungle between les strough and him. Bear would pwn him.
 
Of course, Bear is SAS, and is in so much better shape he'd probably throw Les's fat ass off a cliff.
 
you sure? i thought that was bear, like i saw this one where wes is in bc and like trecks out in the rain, and finds the highway and hitchhikes to vancouver, hella legit i think
 
if you've seen his recent shows, and then watch the old eps, you can pick out all the shit that he lied about. which is like more than half of his show. I was very disapointed when i watched a new version of one of the shows and learned the he didn't even really kill the rabbit by throwing a stick at it.

Les Stroud(t?) pwns newbs. end of story.
 
Id say man vs. wild is way more extreme than survivor man but he has a saftey net. Les Stroud on the other hand it more hard core and im not guna lie some of the stuff he does is pretty extreme. Has anyone seen the amazon one when he almost gets attacked by a wildcat and end up running for 2 hours through the woods to the nearest village and then when he gets there he can hear the wildcat through the hut walls. thats extreme shit. its hard to say which is better
