Which mountains breed the best skiers?

for rail skiing, bristol mountain. why do i say this you ask? heres why

and i couldn't find any good videos of tim russel but hes a bristol og, plus so many other random kids who slay

I know this but I was just saying a city, you did not need to say that. BTW you obviously know where and what Boston is. I was just joking. Whatever man.

To be fair, you can't say avila alone. Tremblant and many other good hills are in the area. Quebec just has a way of breeding stylish skiers.

Central New York back 6 years ago, ahaha

but any mountain in Vermont puts out quality well rounded skiers

many of those pros aren't actually from whistler. like if we're judging it off what your actual home hill is, it's pretty much impossible to say...

Canada Olympic Park is a little hill right inside the city boundaries of Calgary. But as far as I know we have athletes like: Noah Bowman, Megan Gunning, Rosalind Groenewoud, and Rob Heule

lots have come from Silverstar mountain freestyle club(Vernon BC) but move to whistler, but usually call vernon home

Province of quebec: Paul Bergeron,B-dog,Alex Beaulieu-Marchand,Alexis Godbout,Dom Laporte,Alex Bellemare,Emile Bergeron,NSF Crew,ESK Crew,WFP crew,seb eaves,Gab boudreau...etc

My first thought was whistler blackcomb. I dunno how many you want to count as "locals" but I'm sure there are a ton compared to most resorts that absolutely kill it. My other thought was Baker, just because its such a good spot to have your ego smashed by complete unknowns that are sending huge cliffs and slaying 10x harder than you ever could.

It has nothing to do with the topic. You collectively say more stupid shit than the rest of newschoolers combined. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Its funny that the FWT Finals are always held at kirkwood and a kirkwood local won it this year, oh he also won the tour. DAIEK SHREDS

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Sure. . . By the way you seem nice.

And if it has nothing to do with the topic then why didn't you comment on other people who said places that are not mountains? I would not be defending my self if you were calling out everyone not specifically me. Please just fuck off.

There is a distinct difference between where people are calling their homes now and where they cut their teeth skiing, and that distinction is being sorely missed.

There are a few notables in North America that top tier athletes called their home before they were top tier athletes. Places like Squaw, Alta/Snowbird and Jackson come to mind for the Western United States. For the Eastern states, Stowe and Mad River Glen are the standuts for big-mountain skier producing mountains.

No these skiers are almost exclusively from Avila. There aren't any other good snow park hills in the area (besides tremblant but it's farther and doesn't have night skiing).

This is not a mountain but the mid east (PA,MD,DC,VA,NC) produces some good skiers tom wallisch, steve stepp, charlie owens, sean jordan, tom warnick, and brogan.

If you mean the snowboarder John Jackson, he's not from squaw, he's grew up in Mammoth. He's from Crowley (15 minutes from Mammoth).

Whistler, Revelstoke, and other BC places for big mountain I'd assume and than Alta.

Also who is from Crested Butte mentioned in some previous posts?

You are a worthless east coast assface. Go jump off of a bridge. a really big bridge. with lava under it. so you wont live when you hit the lava. and shoot yourself as you jump.

Quebec ! Jf Houle , B dog , Alexi godbout , Kaya turski , alex beaulieu marchand , alex bellemare , charle gagnier , Vincent gagnier (vinnie cash ) b-paul , kim lamarre and more

Has any one heard of Durango Co? We may be just a small town ski area with a dinky park, but we breed young talented skiers. Any skiers from our town who go ski in Breck are typically equal or more talented in ability. Our only weakness is how we are limited by our parks features.

This kid is a friend of mine, he is 17 and he stepped up his game even more this year, but here are some shots from last year.

Example 2 This is Gian Salzillo and he also slays it.

Then another friend of mine which I can't find footage of has stomped just about every double, he has landed one triple back last year and he created a few new doubles that havent been thrown before.

There are plenty of guys from Utah. Jeremy Nobis and Brant Moles come to mind.

Many of the top guys live in Utah, although you are correct in saying that most of those moved there.

Most of the guys who are putting up dominant big mountain movie segments are from the west, or Europe. There are a few east coast guys, but if you look at TGR/MSP rosters, and you are going by big mountain guys, they tend to be from the west.

The east has certainly produced some big mountain talent, but they tend to move away, for obvious reasons.

The crappy little mountains in the midwest breed the best skiers because they have to hit ghetto features and as a result get mad skillz. Then when they think they are good they move to CO or UT.....and find out they suck.....so then they train super hard and get super good.

didnt read the entire thread, but waterville valley without a doubt. they literally breed the best skiers with the academy and all that shit. think of all the kids that have graduated from the academy. crazy. not big mountain material, but if your thinking park then i would say WV for the win.

Lots of people move to bigger, better resorts (breck, park city, whistler) once they get serious but a lot come from small hills like COP(my hill, literally a hill)
