Which k2 ski?

My friend's dad has connections with k2, so I've got to choose a park ski from their line.
I'm 5' 9'', 145 pounds, I ski 90% park: 70% big jumps, 30% rails, and i like to mess around with butters and nollies and such. I've been debating the k2 domain, k2 revival, and k2 silencer. Last year i skied on jon olsson pros 181, and they were a little too long and the edges wore off super fast. I'm wondering how a symetrical ski would ride, and also if i should get the 169 this year, which measures up to like a 173. Any help would be appreciated.

If you do that much jumping you'd probably be best with the Revival, that's what it was designed for. The edges are 3.5mm thick, so they wont wear out as fast as the JOs. As far as size...you should just get the 179, keep in mind the rocker will make them ski shorter, so you won't notice the extra length as much. You could ride the Domain, they'll handle big jumps too (Sean Jordan was hitting the 110ft SCI jump with them), but they're more of a rail ski in design, but if you like hitting jumps switch, then the Domain will be easier to carve while going switch since it's symmetrical.

thanks dude. I do like hitting jumps switch, but it seems the revival would be a better choice for jumps. Still wondering if i should go 174 or 179 with the revival.

Well k2's skis usually come out longer than the listed size. But I wonder if thats still true on the ones with the new rocker. My disorderlys are longer than their listed length, but they're also normally shaped as far as rocker goes.

They should be the same (slightly longer) length that K2 uses.

On another note, as Flash I believe mentioned above, the rocker will make the ski feel shorter than it is, therefore I would recommend the longer length. I have yet to ski on K2's new line but own some 189 Hellbents that feel more like 150 cm skis on hardpack. Adding rocker to skis lessens the amount of your base that touches the snow making the ski seem shorter.

Easiest thing to do, go to a shop that carries K2 (most of them have the new skis in) and check them out, see which ski you thing looks like it best fits you and then from there see which length you feel best fits you.

i am a little disappointed with next years seths! last years were actually great all mountain skis but the 2011 ones are just pow skis
