bumping an ancient thread, or reposting the same thread again?

i've always wondered this. either way, it seems NSers always get bugged by major bumps and reposts.... so if one wanted to talk about something that was discussed a long time ago, what would they do?
 
Bumping really old threads. I don't really mind reposts, because sometimes I haven't seen the original thread, or I see that it's a repost and don't click. I hate when I read through a thread though and respond to something someone said, only to realize after that the thread is 7 years old.
 
i dont really mind people who bump really old threads as long as the new posts are funny and/or relevant. multiple reposts are worse for sure.
 
Well it depends on how old the thread is to be considered a repost.

Like if it is one to two years since it was bumped or since it was made(in most cases) a repost isn't a bad idea.

Bumping old threads can be funny but fucking annoying as well.
