so which do you think is easier?

a back or a lincoln loop?

i personnaly think lincolns are easier and i wanna take them to the hill this year.

I'd say backs a easier because you a rotating in the same direction that you are moving. Loops are tough to land because they are pretty akward. YOu are rotating sideways but moving forwards so if you over or under rotate you will land on your side. However i'd have to say backflips are scarier cause you are upsidedown.

 
yea on a tramp i can stick loops like their nothing.

but backs still fuck me up a little, exspecially when i try and throw in a grab.

ive tired a few backs on snow and i went home early those days.

i think a loop would be easier to try cause you cant land on your head

if you fuck up loops you can fuck up your back pretty bad, i know. backs are way fuckin easier. if its your first time all it takes is a little powder, toss it, tuck it up and stick it.

well, if you think about it backflips would be far easier because a) your body's inertia is moving more than direction and b) you have to rotate less. If the jump takeoff is 35 degrees and the landing is, say, 30 then you are only doing a 295. It is just about the commitment with a back. The loop is only easier in your mind :)

they're both ridicuously easy and i had them both dialed after like 10 tries, ive been doing them for years, both flips you can see your landing the whole time so they're pretty much teh same, i'd say a backflip takes more guts the first time though

lol 4 years to do a back on a trap? is that a tramp? cause if so thats pretty sad the first time i ever jumped on a tramp i tried a back and was landing it in like 5 minutes

i tried my first back this spring off a shitty hip jump with a dugout landing. it doesnt really matter I landed on my face anyway

Loop is good for a first trick,, it's eaier to land cause you can see the ground for most of the trick. And if you are rotating too fast thena ll you have to do is throw in a lui kang kickout, and it'll slow you down nicely..

it seems like backs would be easiest if u just get over the fear. that's my problem. i havent tried one on snow yet i learned them on a tramp really easy, landed my second one and it was the first time id ever been on a tramp

for backs on tramp i just stoked myself for a month without trying it, then i was on my friends tramp and just did it without thinking about it and bam, it was history. Loops are really easy, but i haven't taken either to the snow.

neither, they are both equally gay. So that cancels out any easy or hard factor. So they actually don't even exist

 
k whoever said you cant land on your head is wrong, especially if your an idiot like me it is very easy. So one day i got pissed off at doing spins, so i went out and went to try a lincoln, on a fairly icy day too. I had spent the few days before on my tramp getting the feel for them, and i completley rely on sight when doing them so when i tried mine, i spun, looked straight ahead, and instantly smoked my head so hard i was seeing colours

 
Last season i did about 3-4 backs, 2 went wrong. In the meantime I did at least 100 lincoln loops.

Later took it to lincoln180 witch is quite similar to a rodeo5 or a flatspin5. This year im gonna do the back, but I would say that lincolns are less scary since you're always looking in the same direction as you're flying, and they're easy to develop into other tricks. i.e. rodeo7.

Im going to have to go with jibhouse backs are way the hell easy and lincolns are way the hell cooler so learn the lincoln cuase there fun to float out really big

If u fuck up the rotation on a back its easier to do some major neck damage, so a lop would seem less scary in my opinion
