Which is better for park Loon or Waterville

both are sick but loon has better flow and more of a slopestlye feel...loon dosnt have any mini little parks to mess around in though usually and Wv def has some fun little rail gardens etc.

it sucks that loon doesnt have a lift to go to the park. you have to take the gondola up top and it has huge lines and then that triple is like 2 miles per hour and takes you past the first rail part the kinked rail up to is sweet. and usually the northstar park is awsome but they put "natural elements" this year. GAYYYY

hey i am thinking of hitting up NH on tues or wed. i was wondering how loon is looking right now. if anyone was up there this weekend or maybe even today and could hit me back that would be good thanks

i was there last week and at wv this weekend. loons jumps are all straight up because tom likes to build them that way cos hes a kook. they have a fun hit up top, about 25-30 ft, but the rest are a little steep for progression in my opinion. rails are fun, a lot of variety, and they have that ridiculous bak wall bmx jump deal now, so you cab probably get yourself handled pretty bad on that thing if you so desire.

wv's jumps are the best theyve been all season, 40-45ish up top with a suuuuuper mellow takeoff, perfect for learning tricks. after that, you can hit the next jump in a row, probably close to 60ft, big ol kicker, good pop but not too kicky, fun to hit both in a row. smaller jump to the left of the big hit at the bottom is a good time too, you can transfer from it to the landing of the big one. rails are ok, not as good as loons, but some fun stuff.

J5 slopestyle at WV on Saturday...March 31st. We use typical park features mixed in with junk from our junkyard. Always fun...Pro and Am, $1000 for 1st, rider judged, and tons of gear from Level 1, Spy, K2 and NS will be there covering it!

if you want to go somewhere with two good jumps go to WV, there rails all have really really bad landings. Loon on the other hand has a little more variety and flow and there landing off rails are good, there is also two good jumps in my opinion just make sure you wax.

I miss you GunsNFuckingRoses

they both have there advantages

I train Wv durring the week because of the quick lap time, and good progression tables.

I sesh loons park on hte weekends and film and have fun, but dont really leanr anything.

There both prett sick though, but for casual park riding i would probably go to loon. Because its a really long park with tons of fun features

you shoudl go to wv sat and loon sunday. because j5 is at waterville on sat, and sunday at wv is dollar day so its going to be crowded probably

I couldnt hit jumps really this year, but I think loons got the better set up....esspecailly in the spring. WV's park has been getting a little bit lamer every year. The showcase jump they have looks sweet, with a few others. But nothing to my fancy. Loon has more flow, i love flow..the end.

if they left up the moto jump setup and the stair set setup at loon i dont think there is a more fun place on the east coast right now.

loon deffinatly..bigger and better jumps...and they do have a smaller park..its right next to burton progression

loon's park is sick but it is a huge bitch to get to cause you pretty much have to take gondola or take the slow triple and miss part of the park. Which is why i think WV's park is better way easier to lap jumps are nice the rails could use some work, and more variety

loon has an insane new setup at the bottom half, a brand new signature red bull podium, a 60' down-flat-down box, and an elevator box to a log stall next to the wallride.

yeah thats pretty much the only way to do loons park and not have 5 hour lines. i kind of liked the whole separate rope tow for wv tho... and those little parks are fun to mess around in there too

Yeah. Waterville's been a slight let down this year. They always seem to shape their park mid-week and hope it holds up through the weekend. I love rutted take offs.

I'll be at loon sunday.
