Is this a serious question?do you know how to carve a turn? This just goes to show that so many kids these days are just park rats that can't ski otherwise. Your inside edge is way more important in terms of turning. shit man go take a ski lesson and the instrucor will tell you this the first lesson out, that is why the little racer kids tune their skiis to left and right to have the inside edge sharper. good luck man good luck

 
dude i am a ski instructor, i was asking in terms of park not just regular skiing, such as rails and stuff.

Don't tell me that i should take a lesson considering i teach,

sorry bro, I thought you were some little shit that can't carve a turn but will huck a 900 off a tiny jump and claim they are the best skiier out there. In that case I would say put it on the outside in general, well shit i don't know fool around with it and see what works best..

 
technically, inside edge means the one on your uphill ski when you're turning (which is on the inside of the turn if you think of it in terms of being a circle) but i think you mean inside as in the inside of your foot. that edge is by far the most important, its the one you get all the push on when edging.

stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

also, your outside edge is more likely to catch on rails, and inside edges are useful for slow grinds.

you need both edges even if youre a park rat you still need edges and even if you dont turn you still need them for rails and if you go natural and unnatty you use both so you need them both

i found the chunk of edge... i tried to hammer it back in and now its almost all the way in mby 1mm out... how much is it really noticable? cuz my gf is gona be usin these skis better with the edge not flush or with it just not their?

remove the broken edge, clip in clean, and use a hard p-tex candle to dip in the side wall...it should hold for general use and unless your on ice (assuming you know how to ski with both feet) it should be all good

 
dosent matter, learn to ski with no edges. Going down a hill with edges is easy, why would you want to do that?

for park i would put it on the outside of your ski just because if you come up slightly short on a rail and nick the front, your edge will be more supported, rather than already blown.

just so you know though...they don't teach you to focus on your inside edge any more. You should almost divide your edge use 55/45. slightly more on your inside. they don't teach you to ski on one foot anymore

you're a fucking idiot. unless you're skiing nascar, your edges will shift from inside to outside anyway depending which way you are turning.
