Which Digi-Cam?

Hey does anybody have some good advice as to which digi-cam works best for our purposes? Small, resilient, water proof(?), good quality (motion) pictures?

be careful not to get one like mine (pentax optio 330rs) The time from pushing the button till the photo is taken is wayyy tooo long for getting photos of skiers jumping. I resort to little movies, the sequences are a bit slow too - at least 1/2 a seccond between shots if you set the quality fairly low. You will have to pay heaps for a camera that takes good quality fast sequences so I suggest just looking for one with good responce time.

yeah a lot of digital cameras take forever to take a picture when you press the button, but if oyu time it right you can get some nice pics, and you can delete the shitty ones right from the camera if you have a quick view thing so if you can get a fairly fast one with a quick view for cheap youd be set

get a sony dcr trv 340, it's small fairly cheap and it works great.

if your looking to get a really really really really good digi cam than get the sony dcr trv 900, it is big and sweet.but thats like 4000 and unless your hardcore into it i would not suggest it.

i predict in year 2010 there will be no snowboarders and all freeskiers , why because skiing kicks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

def. go mini-dv for video, and you might as well get a vid cam and get the best still out of the vid...works better than a digicam
