Which college is the best?

I, personally, would never go to UVM

to me CU Boulder dubs in all nonacademic categories, weather, weed, women, location, party scene, greek scene, etc

CU boulder is almost 2 hours from all of the good ski areas. I'm still confused as to why it is more or less the most popular college amongst skiers

thats what im saying. I could drive 30 mins from Burlington and be in Mad River Glen, Stowe, or Sugarbush, which are all premier east coast resorts, but i dont know if i want to stick with east coast skiing all of my life if that makes sense

I've got plenty of friends that go to UVM, plus i lived in vermont and visited burlington quite often. the place is certainly granola-esk so theres that. the school itself is decent, considered ivy league by most, and they have a pretty sweet ski team. on the other hand if ur out of state ur gonna be out of ur ass for those four years and it adds up. i can't speak for whats going on with colorado but i wanted to go there but money got in the way and i applied to late to UVM and got wait listed. if you want a school where theres parties, ski areas close by (waterville, loon, cannon, etc) check out plymouth state, I personally don't like it, just wanna go out west really, but trust me when i say that you can take "hard" classes and still be able to ski quite often, just about every weekend if u wanted to.

I don't think good skiing for four years is worth the 200,000 dollars you could be in debt from the colleges. If you can get money then good for you but go to school where the pricing and skiing are good.

I used to drive 45+ mins to ski 500 vertical feet at Kissing Bridge outside of Buffalo. 2 hrs is super worth it for A-basin, Breck, Keystone, Copper, and Winterpark.

this. come to middlebury college we own a ski mountain

I might be able to get into middlebury and I know I would probably be better at a liberal arts college, but I wouldn't be able to get any scholarship money and I feel like you would be stuck with hours on hours of homework

middlebury is super hard to get into, and you have to be very committed to your studies. i dont know if you can ski alot after that

Economics major, political science minor. but want to ski a lot

UVM's got a good business school and obviously you know the points about shredding. Burlington does have decent chicks, bars, and weeds too, but obviously i think Boulder has the one up there. Boulder IS still 2+ hours from any real mountain so its not like you would go skiing midweek if you chose boulder.

Fuck the Badgers

And in all seriousness, if you are serious about school, look at majors available before you pick a school. It might bring you to slightly worse skiing, but you can always make skiing fun. There also is a good chance that if you are already a skier your family has some money, try to convince them to take you on a ski trip occasionally to better skiing.

Both are real dope schools and were in my top 3 that I wanted to go to. I thought I was for sure going to UVM for awhile. However, I ended up at DU and don't regret my decision whatsoever. UVM and CU are both fucking sick and you'll probably be happy at either one as a skier.

University at Buffalo.

They at least have the greatest single alumni of all time, myself.

No. Burlington is an awesome town, UVM is a good school, but by no means is it considered in the ivy league. It's a large state school so there will definitely be great classes and great professors sprinkled throughout, but it will also be easy to do absolutely no work and ski all the time and end up with an empty degree

Yeah its hard to beat Jlev. He did found LINE skis as part of a design project at UB.

bonus point for Buffalo

Just to clarify it's only 1hr 30ish to keystone which has the best park in summit county and I ski midweek every week.
