Which Car?

My Family is just about to buy a VW Golf, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. We're looking at 2002/2003 models. We need a car with a hatchback, but we don't want a wagon. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks for any help this might get.
 
Dude asking for advice about your new family car on NS is probably the last thing you want to be doing.
 
I think talking to a car dealership or going on a car website might help ya out a little better. True story.
 
ya but its still worth a shot. there are car people here. im in the process of building a 400awhp eclipse. im sure there are others. i dont know a lot about VW, so i cant really help. but i bet there are some people. But i would suggest going to many sites asking for help. find VW forums, and post there. and just any large forum that might be in the field of what youre looking for.
 
if you werent lookin for a hatchback i could help, but i dont know, and dont want to know suff about hatches. why dont you look into SUVs?
 
I'm not solely baseing everything on the opinions of people on here (although there are some carheads) I'm just looking for some advice someone might have. Or a car that is similar that someone really liked.
 
so like i said. what r your requirements? it has to be a hatch car? can it be a small suv? we would need a little more info to suggest things. whats is your price range?

 
Mazda 3 dude no doubt if i had an extra few thousand id get that no doubt but instead i got an 2002 Jetta
 
what about the dodge magnum. those r fast as nuts. and wagons, but they dont look that bad. ahha and yeah, R32s r fast little bitches.
