I know this question has been asked 10 million times, and I apologize for askin again but I am pretty sure I want to drop the loot this year and go to a camp. I am 19, and am a good skier, but i need to learn alot. I want to go to a camp where I will learn the most, while havin a good time obviously. I hear High north, camp revolution, etc... What do you guys think? Also should i go to an adult camp, or kids camp?

go search this topic i'm sure there have been lots of threads regarding this

BACON (receiving a monstrous, leafy cocktail)

What's that?

SAMOAN JO

A cocktail, you asked for a cocktail.

BACON

No, I asked you to give me a refreshing drink. I wasn't expecting a

fucking rainforest; you could fall in love with an orang-atang in that.

if u wanna can go to whistler go to camp of champs but if ur going to washington go to windells

me: pepsi twist taste the exact same as normal pepsi.

my friend: no it doesnt , it has a twist.

hmm...washington? i wish there were ski camps in washington...maybe you mean that state to the south of us...

whoops i was thinkin about mt hood, im retardid

Yes, Yes you are retarded.... I suggest Whistler for sure seeing as you are 19... And at whistler the best camp is HN, at COC you don't learn enough, SMS is good too, but HN is generally better skiers, coaches and especially terrain. Don't get me wrong SMS is a good camp... but HN is worth the extra $$$. Also, don't go to a Adult camp, normally i would suggrest that you do; but there hasn't been enough snow this year and the Adult camp is the last one, go for session 1 or 2.

high north doesnt have near as much terrain at camp of champs they own like half the glacier, and the amount u learn is up to u, yeah coaches and campers push the shit out of u to learn stuff, but u cant say u learn more at one camp than another

I was thinkin about hittin up a camp this summer but that shit is pretty expensive. I mean for a few days thats a lotta money Id rather just pay someone to sit there and push me prolly learn just as much. Its not like someones gonna tell you how to do a switch lincoln loop and its gonna be easier cuz a pro told you how... Maybe I'm wrong ohh well just my two cents

if you have a lot to learn sms will be perfect.. HN would be good for kickass riders, and coc if you can work well alone

Smoking pot leads to uhh... I forget.

'What time is it?.. Saturday?

how 'kickass' would you say someone should be to go to High North?

I also have a question about camps...Im not that good i just started this year..i can do 3s mutes safetys..the simpler stuff but i want to learn more and get alot smoother. Whats the best camp for me.

Worst come to worst my peoples come first

Hey if your looking for a early summer season camp there is a camp in Red Lodge Montant called

Empire Freeride. Check it out at Empirefreeride.com

camp of champs, its just simply better

me: pepsi twist taste the exact same as normal pepsi.

my friend: no it doesnt , it has a twist.

my friend went to camp of champs and he didnt like it as much as windells...the only downside is that they dont have water ramps but still they have the sickest park in oregon and the best snow in the USA during the summer.....they have so much to offer

COC=COCK...

Go for SMS or HN...

for freesyla dude that is just starting, you'll get the most outa SMS... but if you wanna go into inverts and corked out spins, go for HN, thats not to say that you need to be good for HN, lots of beginers there too, but overall a higher level or riding than SMS. COC is tons of people, and a more independent experience... less of a relationship with the coachs, and yeah, if you go up to them and bitch about how to do somwthing... they'll help. But it is different when some pro come up to you, personally, and says 'okay, you wanna learn corked 7s... i'll help you till you stick em.

And for that dude who said that camp may not be worth it... yeah it is a lot of $$$, but it isn't just what you learn... its meeting the pros, and having fun after skiing too.

I went to windells last year and it was pretty laid back- and if you are 19 they have a camp for 18+ and all they did was get drunk

Also the terrain park there is the sickest

that makes good sense but to many of us being coached by top pros is a big part of going to camp in the first place. I'm sure jonny backflip can teach simpler tricks fairly well like you said but are you going to be stoked as hell to meet and chill with him?

SMS gets my vote, I went there last summer and it was perfect for me, becuase I was a beginning park skier, but if you're already pretty accomplished in park skiing then High North might be a better option.
