Which camcorder

aight, so my optura 50 died and i need a new cam for the season. i'm looking for new and used, 3ccd camera around 600 $ +or- a bit.

i'm not really looking into HD cause my computer can't handle that. But I want the manual controls (white balance, shutter, exposure...) And mini DV would be great, unless hard drive cams have gotten any better.

any suggestions?

definitely get the pv gs 500. Quality is exceptionally good when you watch the footage on a dvd. I have it and I am extremely impressed with it.
