Which boot

The one that fits your foot.

I hate SPKs with a passion. They feel like large heavy bricks on my feet. FTs on the other hand are pure sex. Hence why I got some Doggers comming my way.

I agree, Salomons 2 buckle thing doesn't do it for me and they are stupidly wide. If you have duck feet they will fit.

and "which boot" is asked every day with the same answer of try them on. at least you asked for a comparo instead of "hey tell me what to buy" though..

Salomon boots are glorified rental boots.they use cheep materials and over price their products. They put stupid gimmicky things on their boots to try to fix problems that arise when they really should just make a better boot. I made the mistake of buying the KAOS and get the worst toebang of anything I've ever ridden in.Idk if Full Tilts are the messiah of boots but SPK's definitely are not. they look cool but thats about it.

Saying Salomon boots suck is wrong because it is too vague. Salomon Kaos will suck, a knockoff of an already bad boot for 95% of people. Salomon Falcon 10/Falcon CS Pro and Impact Pro (and other Impacts and Falcons) are good boots. 98 and 100 width, so tight race type fit in the Falcons, and Impact for medium to wider feet. They have awesome flex(as in smooth) and last a long long time if you fix em up when you get them..

fix them up MEANING: Swap out the power strap for a booster strap, even if you use it like a power strap(outside the shell, what I do with boosters), it is still much better. The more important one, though, is to GET INTUITIONS(OR any liner that fits you and won't pack out). People get a Solly boot that seems like a perfect fit, and wonder why it no longer fits after 7 days of skiing. It is the liner. Even a good shell fit with Salomon liners will suck very quickly. This will make Solly Falcons, Impacts, and Ghosts all fit well if you have a foot shape that is good with them.
