wow....................... the first guy was easily the best skating ive ever seen. I have a whole new respect for skateboarding after that.
 
Not true.

Rodney is a Tech/Freestyler you cannot compare him to most other skaters because he doesnt skate sets or gaps or handrails like most of us do. Its like trying to say that Bode Miller is "better" than Tanner Hall. Although i do respect Rodney highly i think he is one of the best freestyle skaters.
 
I prefer song... just like his style better and the tricks he chooses to do, but mullen is still retarded good
 
he may not be the best in comps, or on gaps or handrails, but he has invented about 40-50 tricks most of which most skaters, even pros, still to this day cannot do.

 
Fact: Daewong song can do tons of stuff that rodney mullen can do.

Rodney mullen does wierd shit that pros dont spend time trying. Doing stuff down wallenburg would take way more skill then what rodney mullen does.
 
I've never been into skating but that was so sick. I always thought the flat ground shit I did in Tony Hawk was impossible, until now. Thats the kind of fun shit I wish I could do if I skated.

I think it's between 4-6 years old? Not sure, I remember I first saw it in 8th grade so long ago haha. But I you guys should check Daewon Song as well he's an amazing skater as well
 
WRONG you know nothing about skating, Daewon is tech as fuck and goes huge, he's one of the best skaters in the world.
 
Haha I remember that section. I always liked Rodney because he never left the baggy-pants-steeze of the 90s. It looks so much better than all the damn ugly tight-pants-skater kids today. He will always be known as an innovator, but always controversial too. People love him and people hate him. Thats how it's always been.
 
i don't think that mullen invented the ollie, i'm pretty sure it was Alan "Ollie" Gelfand (wikipedia). And I believe Tony Hawk was the one who took it to vert ramps to replace the early-grab.
 
nobody invented an ollie in a pool, pool/vert skating was all about early-grab airs until tony hawk started ollieing. and gelfand = flatground ollie
