Where's the switch Front Flip?

I saw it ONCE in my life, at SPAM, I think Cusson did it. Never saw one again.

Sad to not see it.

switch front in the pipe is lame...it's a copout for not spinning switch...don't believe me, just go hit a quarter switch with good speed and you will do a switch front naturally. Whether you land it is another story, but I'm just sayin...compared to a switch 9, a switch front ain't shit...

I've been trying to convince people to throw switch front nose grabs for awhile now, and no one will. I've very tempted to learn them myself just to show people how dope they are.

colorado- no offense but if you keep saying that isane tricks like switch fronts are lame and easy, you run the risk of sounding like a hater...

unless you can do it and make it look dope (which some can) don't say its gay

He isn't a hater in the least, usually a very nice and helpful guy. And I wouldn't doubt at all that he can in fact do it. His point wasn't that it doesn't take talent or even look cool, but that they are muche easier to do than you think.

it wasn't meant to hate, I know and love hibbert, he's been around along time and I have mad respect, as usual...it's just an opinion with comments to back up why I have the opinion, so I can avoid the "why, why, why" questions. And being a pipe specialist, I guess I have a biased opinion in this case...

ok man sorry, like i said, no offense. i can see you have like 2000 posts so you must know yr shit. i guess its a matter of priciple- i don't like people dismissing rare tricks like this just coz spins are more difficult. i personally prefer more original tricks, i,e, switch front.

for example- have you seen the vid of the sweet rumble- pk won with a mad spin, but a guy threw a steezed out frontflip early on. i personally thought it looked way cooler than the spins, but flips aren't trendy

sorry, ranting

bottom line: don't dismiss diversity...

you're so right...i agree, and I think that a huge corked 5 or stylie flair in the pipe is a way better trick than a 10...but like you said, you have to conform to the current hype if you want to do well these days.

And you're right about originality too...you don't see many kids going switch in the pipe, even today...you know why? cause it's hard as shit....If you thought I meant a switch front was easy on a scale of 1-10, then think again...that wasn't my point at all...

i saw i think bushfield trying a switch double back at orage masters last year but don't think he landed- has anyone ever stuck a switch double front or back?

that may be a stupid question, i've never heard of it tho...

dude, did you see the x-games big air? homie almost stuck a switch double twice...He was sooooo close...I know he can do them...forgot his name tho

Switch Double Backs have been done, there was a video that got around a few years ago of some European skier doing one in a comp.

The switch front was also done by McConkey in Theres something about McConkey, but i dont think it looks very cool from the video i've seen. Theres really no way to get a good pop, so you have to tuck all the way around.

the switch front referred to in this thread is in the halfpipe...I've seen plenty of switch fronts on kickers...and this switch double I reffered to above was indeed Bushfield...he only didn't land because his binding released...He would have won for sure.

isn't there a switch backflip-180-frontflip combo (in ONE jump) in Skimovie 2 ??? I'm not sure, but I saw this jump somewhere...

in stimulus there is an insane double flip- lookslike an underflip to switch frontflip 540! i know this sounds ridiculous, but check out the trailer at powdermag.com.

dunno who it is tho...
