Where's skogen sprang?

well, he is still alive.  last time i saw him he was working at a golf course, sucked at park skiing, and probably didn't have a segment this year.

I didn't spend 6 minutes this morning staring at the "real skodeo 7 with a critical grab for added enjoyment" over a 70 foot kicker at windells to hear you say that skogen sucks at park.

Have you even seen the Game or Stereotype Or Ski Movie 1? I hope that you haven't because if you have and you still say that then...damn...you're disrespectful.

 
He is in tahoe ,KB to be specific. I saw him at Breal last year but i wasnt impressed with his actions. His friend landed on somone after hitting a jump and they ditched without even askin if he was ok.
 
well last year, i got a bunch of volkl posters at this expo thing, and he was on one.
 
yeah word man.  He rode northstar a ton last year.  cut everyone off to just fall on easy things like 270's.

and to the mod up there, he was good in the past and had to good segments for sure, but after seeing him ride in person, I was just disappointed in the guy.
 
i really liked his part in the tangerine dream, and i still like his style a lot. but he had probably 4 shots in anomaly. is he done now?
 
Half of you are retarded for talking shit on Skogen. Granted he may not be at the level of influence he was before, but he has served his time making his mark on our sport and injected a ton of style into skiing. He doesn't have to go out and ski everyday like he is in a video just to impress you at your local mountain. He still rips more than you know and is a very humble and genuinely nice dude.Go grab 'Chapter 3' or 'The Game' and give yourself an education.
 
This is funny haha I dont really care what people think, skiing shouldn't be about making it to the big times and all of that, its about hanging out with friends and havin a killer day at the mtn! NS rocks, im real hyped that theres a place like this for all of the freeskiers in the world to come together, this site is growing like mad!

I guess he doesn't come on here often...
 
Some of the kids should know history and throw Skogen some props for bringing a smoother tucked up style to spinning in skiing rather than pencil steeze.
 
Man you people blowme away----sup skogs aloha from Maui brah!! RESPECT one of skiing first true innovators..... Skogen is an absolute legend of Freeskiing as anyone who knows ANYTHING bout the history of our sport.

I have met Skogen in a few hazy situations and each time I was more impressed with him, super chill guy down to earth and just stoked on what he is doing. I hope he comes back around with some movie segments, because out of any pro skier I've met he is the most legit, a tip of the hat to you Skogen.

It's also worth noting how legit it is that he took the time to address this thread...props yet again.
 
Check out his switch rodeo 720s back in Ski Movie & The Game, no one was doing them as smooth as he was back then. He also may not be riding as well now because he broke his leg (femur I'm pretty sure) and nearly ended up loosing thing whole fucking thing. The fact that he still skis at all let alone rips the shit up is pretty inspirational.

He suffered a pretty serious injury, and the fact that he's out there throwing down and skiing a ton just shows you how passionate he is about skiing.

He definitely pioneered a fair share of things, and pushed skiing.
 
Also, I believe he is nearly 30 years old, so he's not some young kid that can recover from hits the same way.
