Where's my Ohio peeps at?

I shoulda made this thread years ago but I'm too optimistic of others I guess...

Anyone live in Cbus and down for some ski trips to Snowshoe or VT? Or even just the local shitty places around here for some park? I'm tryin to up my numbers haha but really....15 days ain't enough for this disease I call my addiction.

Here's my dilemma: None of my friends ski!!! I come from a football/baseball town so skiing wasn't big. My brother is my primary skiing buddy but he doesn't have the same amount of time off as I do (I work basically 7 on 7 off and PTO is easy pickin) so he gets one big ski trip and a few day trips in per year. My other friend is in med school in Idaho so no time there, but he shreds. Other friend who skis, lives in NYC and only skis occasionally.

Also have the issue that our abilities are slowly separating due to me skiing more and getting better and I end up having to go solo on trails especially out west.

I've skied solo and made long distances solo trips before before but it's not as fun and I don't push myself as much and it's more expensive to go solo. Plus it would be cool to find some people to ski all the time with especially considering all the time I have off.

I would consider myself advanced on the east coast; there isn't much I wouldn't readily attempt skiing. I could try dabbling in park but I'm shit if I'm gonna be honest.
 
Been skiing Ohio all my life. It has essentially turned me into a park rat. None of my friends from life ski either. Almost everybody I ski with I met lapping the hills around here.

I live in Cleveland but I come down to snow trails in mansfield all the time because I prefer their parks over bmbw's. I also make it down to mad river a few times a year. Give me a holler if you ever come up to snow trails. It's not too far from Cbus. They have the best rails in Ohio by a long shot imo

The osu ski team actually switched over to snow trails. Best park in the state hands down

I live 15 minutes from bmbw, 75 from snow trails, and I go to ohio state. I only bought a snow trails pass for this winter. That should tell you everything you need to know about the state of the Ohio Pass resorts

Yeah. Even though they are on the epic pass I passed on peak resorts. Mad River fucked up so bad last year on their days open, I only got 4 days in on my pass. When they were actually open was when I was at actual mountains. Snow trails on the other hand was open many a times when mad river wasn't. Also mad river had zero jumps on their jump line run mid January. Only thing mad river is good for is cheap tix on Fridays if you're in college
 
def worth the drive down to cincy to hit up Perfect North imo. Never been to snow trails but Perfect's park blows mad river out of the water and it is easy to hot-lap..100 chairs a day.
 
Snowtrails opening before the "Vail" resorts even start their snowmaking. Glad I got out of that corrupt system.
 
Yeah they've been going at it. Even knowing it's gonna warm up, they're trying to open as early as possible, making snow whenever possible. So cool

yes definitely considering mad river/bmbw have no plans to open until mid December most likely

They will have a decent amount of the place open and at least 4-6 quality rails, none of the chode rails bmbw will put up until January

Yeah I checked their web cams and they look nearly all covered. Probably gonna go up Friday if I have time. Can't decide if I wanna attempt to fuck around on rails or just ride normal skis.

Whelp got nothing better to do, so going to snow trails Friday. Never been.... If you see some old ass Jerry riding Afterbangs and eating shit on every rail repeatedly, that'd be me.
