Where you working this summer? hard or easy jobs

selling / stealing gear at sportchek is what i do for the moment, but in two weeks i'm off to BC to build my dad's brother a cabin, and the reward is skiing and $$$

any job that rewards me with prime west coast skiing is a job i cannot turn down

$10 an hour, but this job will be over August 1st and I'm moving to another that should pay $15+ an hour.

usually 10-12 per hour (canadian) but during shitty weeks, around 8, or during amazingly busy weeks, maybe 15-20. commission can be either good or bad. very stressful. buuuttttt, i can justify it by getting cheap gear

Strawberry picking.. mad easy.. 8.00 an hour or 2.50 a basket so you can make more if you pick them fast

wendys. stressful. and for those of you who have not worked a fast food job (one that is constantly busy) cannot talk shit because its alot harder and more stressful then it looks.

I have an offer for $28 an hour, but I don't want to do the traveling and training for it. A couple of my friends make $22-24 an hour though.

yo that is the BEST job EVER! I envy you...

I am working at the research institute at the children's hospital researching cancer

I make $6.50 an hour working at my ski shop. Half the time I am delivering Patio Furniture, and half the time, i am sitting around doing nothing at our dumbass "Outlet" store.

i deliver pizza and i make between $12-$15 an hour depending on tips, its easy as hell all i do is drive around all day and listen to music

very easy but tedious and boring job stocking for a coke and coors distributer, 750 an hour

roofing whenever i get called (10usd/hr) and working in the oil fields putting well heads together (15/hr)

also ump little league games which is 25 bucks if you ump by yourself

I work at a water sports shop..I sell wakeboards and water skis and tubes and the like. I get minimum wage ($7.50/hr) plus 4% of whatever I sell. So I'll generally make around $500-$650 every 2 weeks plus a fatty commissions check at the end of the month. It's not a bad deal.

i work at a boarding kennel for animals, its really hard and always busy. but i stay in shape and get paid 6.50 an hour plus i get a government check at the end of the month for like 250.00

I'm working at my church as a secretary. 7.35/hour.

The priest keeps commenting on the fact that I haven't been to church in 4 years.

cashier Tops grocery store

$6.75

have to deal with mad shit from customers and i always get hours when its mad busy, so kinda shitty.

yeah, on a good shift at work i'd make about that..

during the ski/board tent sale, everybody makes like $250-300 a day for a week straight just firing out all our old stock. it's sick. there's nothing better than talkin skis with a bunch of random shmucks, and gettin paid real nicely for it.

the most i've ever made was in a 6 hour shift. i sold $3700 in goods, which, at 5% commission, put $185 in my pocket, which is what, 30+ an hour or somethin? pretty sick. that's excluding the crazy events we usually have quarterly..

moral of the story, commission can be good to you, but the inconsistency is stressful as hell.

shit, i just remembered boxing day. DEFINATELY get a commission-based job for then. you get TONS of sales, and since its a holliday, you get time and a half. in fact, the entire month of december, and even january are awesome. tons of people buyin shit.

so , i definately advise people to pick up commission-based jobs for those two months. you'll make plenty of cash. workin part time (anywhere between 40-60 hours a week) i was gettin $500 paychecks minimum, with an $1100 paycheck after the boxing day period. well worth it.. but like i said, times like now, the stores are just dead. people pickin up a bike or some blades every here or there, but there's no consistency. hit or miss.

cheaa we do boat shows where i work and i get an hourly wage plus 3% of my total sales (not profit margin, the total) plus an extra $200 cash for being top sales. I made an easy $2000

im so stoked, i went up the street because i was too hot (parkour) and my mom introduced me to this guy who works at a landskaping job and its right by my house 11 hours a day or something 10 $ starting under the table (no taxes or any of that shit) and they all smoke weed all day during work, best summer ever. my mom was kinda pissed tho,
