I'm coming up to Park City mid-Dec for 3 months from NZ, and was wondering if anyone could help me out and tell me what areas I should be looking to stay in that will be easy to get to PC mountain from? I don't want to buy a car and need to get by on as little cash as possible, so I need to be near buses etc.

Are there any cheap buses or anything that go from SLC to PC?

Also, if anyone has a room for rent from like Dec 20thish to March 20thish, send me a pm and we can sort it out, i'm 100% good for the money if the price is in my budget and can do a deposit if i'm sure you're legit.

Any help much appreciated!!!

As far as I know from the dorms... I'm sure they stop at other places too, but I don't know where since I live in the dorms.
I just moved to Utah so I'm not to sure. I'll give you a free bump so someone else who knows what they are talking about can comment this.

^ maybe the U does some sort of deal, but as far as i know there isnt and public transit from SLC to PC.

if you can get to the mouths of the canyons there are busses that'll take you up to everything. but you gotta get to the mouth of the canyon first.

i'm sure you could find some people to carpool with as long as you toss down some cash. i'm down to give rides if i'm goin up and i dont have to run all around SLC.

This is true for little and big cottonwood canyon. buses do run from town to the base of the canyons as well. BUT there is no bus that runs up parleys to park city. If you live up in summit county than getting to PC is easy, there is a set of buses up there.

And yea, there are always lots of kids to carpool with.

even if that was true, the money it would cost to entertain yourself in pc for 5 hours every night would cost more than buying a car.
