Where to ski if you attend Colorado State @ Fort Collins

I'm applying to the graduate school at CSU and am wondering which areas are nearby to the university. If you are a student or live in Fort Collins where do you go? Also, what's the best deal for a pass? Will a college pass be a better value than the epic pass?

I'm going to CSU next year also. Its a pretty long drive anywhere from fort collins though. But I'll spend most of my days at Mary Jane and A Basin.

I wish they could switch foco with boulder. The people in foco are so chill but boulder is closer to the mountains (especially if you go to eldora, but no one does...)

loveland, a basin, and winter park/mary jane would be your best bet, but that's still far...

Im in highschool in Foco but keystone is 2 hours, abasin, 1 and 45, and i dont ski steamboat or winter park

agreed. i like foco a lot its just so damn far from everything.

regardless, i ski mostly in summit. my pass is to breck keystone and abay. snowriders runs trips every other weekend (which is getting me to vail on saturday) and finding a ride is usually not too hard. however i have sat in I70 traffic for 4 hours...god needs to do some cutting and pasting of this town,

what time of day did you leave and waht day of the week was it? if i leave midday or evening i can do it in about 2 hours to breck, but if you're driving on a saturday morning and leave FoCo anything after 7am, it takes like 3-4 hours.

shit, I leave from littleton on saturdays/sundays around 5:15/5:30. paid off too, got in the gondola north lot at breck so early the guy in the pay booth wasn't even there so I got free parking on a sunday haha.

mostly keystone and breck, with some abasin in pre and late season. It's quite a drive but if you have friends that you can stay with it's not bad. I usually get to ski 3-4 days a week during the school year.
