Where to move in New England?

So I’m finally pulling the trigger and moving north. I’m looking for a place where I’m close to multiple ski resorts. I’m thinking around Stowe Vermont because then I’ll be by Stowe, Smugglers notch, and Jay peak. Any town recommendations near there? Or anywhere else that would have variety? I’d love to be by Sugarloaf but I’m looking for the best place to have a variety of mountains. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe secure a solid job offer and move wherever that takes you?

Move to the mad river valley. You have the options of warren, waitsfield, fayston, and more town. They’re all close to mad river glen and sugarbush and I guess you could drive a little farther to get to Bolton jay or my snow
 
Go west about 3,000 miles and when you hit Northern California you've hit the mother land. Lol

For real though I've never rode on the east coast but going on what I've read and seen Maine seems like the spot. Burlington area looks rad but seems like a total "Jerry world". Then again the sport of skiing is one big Jerry world.

Pretty much the farther away you get from New York the more tolerable the jerry's get.

But yeah, ideally you wanna go a few thousand miles west
 
You'll probably wanna be in the northern half of NH or VT, Burlington is a great all around spot to be but not super super close to everything, Littleton, north Conway or gorham are great NH spots, way up there and close to resorts and mountains to explore. However I to thought of doing the same and going either northern NH or southern VT near Carinthia, said fuck it and moved to utah, better decision, would suggest hopping on the 80.
 
Sugarloaf is your best bet to avoid weekend hoards and have a big hill. Stowe is busy AF. Jay get slammed with Montrealers and Bush isn’t quiet. I’d assume that area would be the cheapest place to rent.

100% Lincoln. Small town vibes but still nothing too bougie or elitist. Loon has an awesome park scene (although more geared towards snowboarders, and does get tons of Jerrys) and like BGill said, Cannon is also right there if you need something a little more steep/gnarly. Lahouts is also a pretty dope store and technically the oldest ski-shop in America.

Really depends on where you can land a job, but Lincoln is a little less than two hours from Boston. My short/long term plan is to buy a house in the next few years and live somewhere in between.

Good call. The one downside will be that Cannon and Loon don't have passes that will take you out West.

Now that Vail has bought Wildcat and Attitash Gorham/Berlin are insanely cheap and you can rock Wildcat (that lift is as good as anything in the East) and take trips to all the Vail hills and ski for free.

Loon is on the Ikon pass!

I still actually dont think its that good of a deal because you only get the 5-days and I like having a "home mountain" that I can go to whenever I want, even if it is just for a few laps on a shitty day. That 5-day max is a huge dealbreaker for me.

Last year I got the Cannon-millenial pass. It was like $450 with no blackout days. I live right off 93 in the city so it was super easy to get to and I think I got like 20ish days there. This year all my friends are getting the Ikon so I'm going to do the Nitro-pass which is Loon/SundayRiver/Sugarloaf with a handful of blackout days for like $500

I fucking miss the MAX pass so much...
 
In my opinion sugarloaf is the best mountain in New England, and there’s backcountry potential in the biglowes. But it is in the middle of nowhere. But Lincoln has some cool backcountry too, and theres some fun life in the town.
